Western National is seeking an Office Support Specialist to join our team!

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to provide administrative and clerical support to the department and office.

What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?

  • Performs duties that are routine and clerical in nature.
  • Processes new business applications and legal notices.
  • Keeps accurate and current records of new business applications in designated systems that are accessible to others.
  • Opens, sorts, and delivers daily mail to the appropriate person or department.
  • Scans documents into designated systems that are accessible to others.
  • Assembles and folds paperwork, stuffs envelopes, and prepares mailings.
  • Weighs, meters, and prepares outgoing mail and packages for pick up or drop off at the post office.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned to support the underwriting department and the office.
  • Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
  • Applies knowledge to help solve problems.
  • Contacts other internal departments and team members.
  • Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details.
  • Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation overview

The targeted hiring range for this role is $21.50 - $26.00 an hour. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate, as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
