ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting moment to join a growing Facilities Department. We are building up our team to better support the museum’s three sites. This newly created role will join a talented and hardworking Facilities team.

The OSP Manager will provide daily management and oversight of Olympic Sculpture Park operations and cross-functional park usage, including operational planning, coordination of activities, and the artistic and horticultural aspects of the park. This is a high visibility role that works cooperatively with other SAM departments in the operating of the park and all associated activities including art installation, art conservation, internal programs, and private events. They will ensure consistent and meaningful visitor, programmatic, and event experiences at this 9-acre urban sculpture park. The role provides leadership and mentoring to four direct reports.

In their first few months, the OSP Manager will partner with the Director of Facilities in an in-depth evaluation of the park’s needs and staffing structure, lead the creation and enforcement of park SOPs and policies, and ultimately developing a plan to adequately support the operations of the park. Olympic Sculpture Park is a free park, operating 365 days a year, with a focus on art and landscape that serves as the museum’s gift to the region.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
