About the Role:

Lead the operational risk program and implement framework elements throughout the enterprise.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for Operational risk within the Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") Program; supporting the Global ERM framework in managing Operational Risk
  • Review operational risk policies and standards for risk management along with understanding the controls in place to mitigate and building additional controls where necessary
  • Ensure Processes, Workflows, and Documentation match regulatory requirements and guidance on an ongoing basis
  • Perform operational risk identification and assessments in business units
  • Implement a plan to support in the prevention, elimination and mitigation of operational risks in line with the Company's risk appetite
  • Assist in the development of key risk and control indicators
  • Coordinate with senior management in performing operational risk reviews
  • Track and monitor operational risk issues ensuring that risks are managed in line with risk appetite, that issues are resolved satisfactorily and lessons learned are shared
  • Report operational risk issues and decisions to senior management on a regular basis
  • Drive the building out of an Incident Management framework and adoption
  • Partner with First Line risk teams
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and business partners by working together to address issues/concerns in a timely manner
  • Maintain documentation for risk management, risk policies and procedures
  • Ensure Operational Risk Training is robust and well managed: owning training content and delivery for First Line colleagues
  • Keep abreast of latest operational risk management techniques and industry best practices for operational resilience.
  • Bring a strong customer focus and drive to get things right for our customers

You Have:

  • 5 years+ Operational Risk experience
  • Experience in maturing the Controls and Management of a large customer focused business ideally within the financial services space
  • Experience of managing teams and stakeholders through the Change journey
  • Vendor management / multi-site experience (desirable)

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $124,000 -$150,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
