Zayo is seeking an Optimization Program Manager to serve as the primary liaison between the company’s internal departments, finance, operations, engineering teams and an end customer for Space and Power capacity, growth and optimization projects. This Optimization Program Manager role will primarily be focused on running our Space and Power program to support technical space and power availability at Zayo hub sites. The Optimization Program Manager involves heavy levels of internal and customer facing communication. The primary objectives are providing excellent project coordination and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery in accordance with company expectations. 

*Preference for candidates based in the Denver, CO metro area (hybrid, 2–3 days/week). Remote candidates within the U.S. will be considered.

Responsibilities 

  • Drive local market operation PMs for the timely delivery of key elements of project implementation. 

  • Set departmental objectives and report on progress and project milestones. 

  • Handle and resolve risks and problems that are escalated for management attention. 

  • Produce various reports for project implementation and customer service management. 

  • Organize and coordinate all internal organizations for the timely and accurate implementation of large, complex projects. 

  • Interface directly with internal/external customers to communicate implementation schedule, on-going project status, issues and responses to questions. The communication vehicle will be via face-to-face meetings, email, and/or conference calls at regularly scheduled intervals. 

  • Provide post installation support services, trouble resolution, and new service proposals. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of five (5) years telecom and program management experience required, advanced strategic large program management experience preferred

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in Telecom and technical or engineering project management required 

  • Advanced experience in Excel/Smartsheets/Microsoft Project required

  • Salesforce experience preferred  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Effective time management skills 

  • Ability/willingness to operate in a fast-paced, demanding environment 

  • Desire to grow within the company 

  • Analytical/critical thinking ability 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word) 

  • Computer acumen 

Estimated base salary range: $68,100 - $104,700 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
