We currently have a career opportunity for an Oracle Planning Solutions Architect to join our team.

 

Job Overview: 
 

A Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within (a given Solutions/Practice area). The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales/presentation, team management, and thought leadership skills.

 

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third-party services, designing and develop complex features for clients' business needs.

 

You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative, high-quality solutions, and participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading-edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

 

This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of Oracle EPM Planning solutions.
  • Design end-to-end planning, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling processes.
  • Define solution architecture, integration strategy, security model, metadata framework, and reporting structures.
  • Develop scalable and sustainable EPM solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to finance and executive stakeholders on planning transformation initiatives.

Oracle EPM Implementation & Support

  • Configure and deploy Oracle Planning modules including:
    • Planning
    • Strategic Modeling
    • Workforce Planning
    • Capital Planning
    • Projects Planning
    • Account Reconciliation (preferred)
    • Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) (preferred)
  • Lead requirements gathering, design workshops, solution documentation, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support application optimization, enhancements, and performance tuning.

AI & Advanced Planning Capabilities

  • Leverage Oracle EPM AI and machine learning capabilities to improve forecasting accuracy and planning effectiveness.
  • Implement AI-driven predictive planning, anomaly detection, intelligent forecasts, and scenario analysis.
  • Evaluate opportunities to incorporate generative AI and predictive analytics into EPM processes.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify innovative AI use cases that drive value through automation and advanced insights.
  • Stay current with Oracle EPM Cloud roadmap, AI innovations, and emerging technologies.

Integration & Data Management

  • Design integrations between Oracle EPM and enterprise systems such as ERP, HCM, CRM, Data Warehouse, and third-party applications.
  • Utilize Oracle Data Management, Data Integration, EPM Automate, REST APIs, and other integration tools.
  • Ensure data governance, data quality, and master data consistency across planning environments.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations.
  • Mentor EPM consultants, analysts, and developers.
  • Present solution strategies and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Support pre-sales activities, solution demonstrations, and proposal development when required.
Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • 8+ years of experience implementing Oracle EPM solutions.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS) or Oracle EPM Cloud.
    • Strong understanding of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
    • Experience designing complex business rules, calculations, Smart View reports, dashboards, and forms.
    • Expertise in:
      • Oracle EPM Planning
      • Groovy scripting
      • Business Rules
      • Calculation Manager
      • Data Integration
      • EPM Automate
      • REST APIs
    • Strong knowledge of Essbase multidimensional design concepts.
    • Experience leading full lifecycle implementations from requirements through production support.
    • Experience with Oracle FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, PCMCS, and Narrative Reporting.
    • Exposure to Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM, and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle EPM AI, predictive planning, machine learning forecasting, and emerging generative AI capabilities.
    • Experience with cloud architecture and enterprise data integration platforms.
    • Consulting experience with large-scale global implementations.
    • Oracle EPM Cloud certifications

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
