Ferguson is seeking a shown Outside Sales Representative for the Seattle-Tacoma, WA region working with our Plant Division to fill an immediate need with growing market opportunities. Treatment plant contractors across North America come to Ferguson for our experience and reliability in the waterworks industry.

Additionally, we are the only company with dedicated teams with the support to address the unique nature of collaborative delivery. Our DBIA certified associates, with their contractor / construction resumes, become part of your team from the initial RFQ until the final project closeout. Job Function & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Plant Division in Seattle-Tacoma, WA collaborating with local teams to provide project quotation and proposals.

  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, including key accounts.

  • Be part of problem-solving process, conversations regarding changing market conditions.

  • Supervise sales trends and product knowledge to develop market specific pricing from Pre-Bid to Post Bid.

  • Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.

  • Ability to read and understand construction documents including project specifications, drawings, and change orders.

  • Work with other branch personnel to ensure customer satisfaction from the order to the delivery and beyond.

  • Work with Pre-bid and Post-bid teams to ensure accurate scope coverage for customers.

  • Own your projects from start to finish with collaboration of specific team members.

  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and manufacturers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years industry related sales experience is required.

  • A successful associate will be results oriented, self-motivated, able to complete tasks in a timely manner, build relationships and enjoy a team environment.

  • Strong technical background and experience in water and / or wastewater industry preferred.

  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.

  • Problem solving, leadership and listening skills.

  • General digital literacy.

  • Travel required with overnight trips.

This is a base plus commission eligible role, with no cap on your commission.
