Role Summary:
The Overseas Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to expand our market share and customer base globally. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven success in managing multi-cultural teams, building long-term client relationships, and navigating complex international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Formulation & Execution:
  • Develop and implement an overarching sales strategy aligned with the company's global growth objectives, including identifying new market opportunities, target segments, and key accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors' activities, and customer needs to adjust sales plans and tactics accordingly.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Build and lead a high-performing international sales team, ensuring effective communication, training, and motivation across various regions.
    • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and cross-cultural competence.
    • Establish clear performance metrics and regularly review progress, providing constructive feedback and recognition for achievements.
  • Customer Acquisition & Retention:
    • Drive the acquisition of new clients through proactive outreach, strategic partnerships, and effective negotiation of complex sales deals.
    • Develop deep relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to ensure long-term customer loyalty and satisfaction.
    • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base to maximize revenue potential.
  • Revenue Growth & Forecasting:
    • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and revenue growth objectives across all target markets.
    • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and manage sales pipelines effectively.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards sales goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Market Penetration & Expansion:
    • Explore and enter new international markets, leveraging existing resources and establishing partnerships where necessary.
    • Develop and execute localized marketing and sales initiatives to adapt to the unique requirements of each market.
    • Understand and navigate local regulations, cultural nuances, and business practices to ensure successful market entry and growth.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Work closely with product development, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from lead generation to post-sales support.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and establish strategic alliances.
    Requirements

    -5+ years of successful optical or electric products sales experience

    -Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

    -Excellent mentoring, coaching, negotiating and influential leadership skills

    -Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)

    -Familiarity with CRM software

    -Bilingual in Mandarin and English
