Plan, launch, monitor, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, YouTube, Pinterest, and other platforms; analyze performance, create reports with actionable recommendations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with client objectives.

Our client is looking for a Paid Media Specialist to plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns for tourism organizations, destinations, and travel-focused brands. They are a tourism marketing and insights agency that has delivered integrated campaigns across domestic and international markets while developing travel media brands focused on responsible and meaningful tourism. This part-time contractor will combine hands-on campaign management with analytical thinking to improve performance and generate measurable results.
- Plan, build, launch, and manage paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms.
- Translate client objectives into practical campaign structures, targeting strategies, budgets, and optimization plans.
- Monitor campaign performance regularly and identify opportunities to improve conversions, engagement, reach, and return on investment.
- Adjust audiences, keywords, placements, bids, budgets, and creative variations based on performance data.
- Analyze campaign results and prepare clear reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Communicate campaign performance in a way that is easy for internal stakeholders and clients to understand.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, creative, and client services teams to ensure campaigns align with broader goals.
- Troubleshoot campaign issues and proactively recommend solutions.
- Stay informed about advertising platform updates, privacy changes, emerging paid media trends, and industry best practices.
- Support the continuous improvement of paid media processes, reporting standards, and campaign strategies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing campaigns through Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
- Strong understanding of paid search, paid social, audience targeting, campaign structures, bidding strategies, and budget allocation.
- Ability to independently manage campaigns from setup through reporting and optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting advertising performance data.
- Ability to turn data into clear recommendations rather than simply reporting metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to campaign management.
- Strong organization and time-management skills within a part-time remote environment.
- Dependable written and verbal communication.
- Collaborative mindset and strong customer service orientation.
- Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new platforms, strategies, and advertising features.
- At least two years of professional experience in paid media, digital advertising, performance marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple digital advertising campaigns and objectives.
- Previous responsibility for campaign monitoring, optimization, reporting, and performance recommendations.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and collaborative with a remote team.
- Experience working with agency clients, multiple accounts, or competing priorities is beneficial.
- Experience with tourism, destination marketing, hospitality, outdoor recreation, or travel brands is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with YouTube Ads or Pinterest Ads is an advantage.
