Hourly: $22-24/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Spokane Sports strengthens our community through the power of sports. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we create, bid on, and host impactful sporting events that drive economic growth, inspire connection, and enhance community pride. The Partnerships & Marketing Coordinator helps turn priorities into action across Spokane Sports’ partnerships and marketing work. This role keeps projects organized, coordinates timelines and deliverables, supports partner activation and stewardship, and assists with content and campaign execution. The coordinator reports to the Director of Partnerships & Impact and works closely with the Marketing Manager to support shared priorities and clear handoffs between the two functions.

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. They bring a strong creative eye, sound judgment, clear communication, and the follow-through to jump in and keep work moving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project & Workflow Coordination

· Coordinate project briefs, timelines, approvals, and deliverables across partnerships, marketing, events, agencies, freelancers, and vendors.

· Maintain shared project trackers, calendars, files, contact records, and asset libraries, and support clear intake and handoffs for new requests.

· Follow up on action items, identify missing information, and flag timeline or workload risks before they become roadblocks.

· Coordinate routine vendor logistics, including gathering estimates, organizing assets, confirming specifications, and tracking delivery.

Partnership & Sponsorship Support

· Maintain accurate sponsor and partner records in Salesforce and shared trackers, including contact information, activation plans, commitments, deliverables and key dates.

· Maintain the corporate partner and sponsor prospect pipeline, keep contact information and next steps current, and conduct prospect research as assigned.

· Coordinate partner recognition and sponsorship fulfillment across events, digital channels, signage, collateral and community initiatives.

· Collect and organize partner logos, brand guidelines, bios and other assets needed for activation and recognition.

· Gather and organize proof of performance, including photos, reach metrics, placements and activation recaps.

· Support outreach preparation, meeting follow-up, proposals, renewals, stewardship and impact reporting.

Marketing & Content Support

· Support content calendars and campaign work across social media, email, website, print, and community channels under the direction of the Marketing Manager.

· Draft and edit routine copy, schedule approved content, make website updates, and support email production.

· Create simple, on-brand materials using established templates and coordinate with designers or agency partners when more advanced creative work is needed.

· Capture and organize photo and video content, and assist with campaign reporting by gathering performance data and organizing results.

Event & Activation Support

· Coordinate with the events team to track partner ticket allocations and support timely delivery.

· Provide on-site support for Spokane Sports-owned events and partner activations, with a primary focus on marketing and sponsorship execution.

· Coordinate signage, promotional materials, partner assets, and event-specific content needs with internal teams and vendors.

· Capture real-time updates and sponsor visibility, and assist with setup and breakdown related to marketing, partner, and community activations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, details, and stakeholders at once.

· Proactive, resourceful approach with strong follow-through and comfort taking ownership of next steps.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.

· Strong creative judgment and attention to brand consistency, layout, messaging, and presentation.

· Comfort with project management tools, spreadsheets, shared file systems, social platforms, email platforms, and website content management systems.

· Working knowledge of tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud is helpful, but advanced graphic design expertise is not required.

· Collaborative and service-minded, with the ability to take direction from multiple functional leaders, maintain clear priorities, and adapt when timelines shift.

· Commitment to Spokane Sports’ mission, values, and community impact.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, sports management, project management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· Two or more years of experience in project coordination, account coordination, marketing, partnerships, communications, or a related role preferred.

· Experience working in an agency, in-house creative team, or other deadline-driven, client-service environment strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Standard office environment with regular time spent onsite at events and partner activations.

· Ability to work evenings and weekends during peak event seasons, with adjusted weekly schedules to maintain a 40-hour work week.

· Ability to travel locally for meetings, events, and activations as needed.

· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and support on-site event setup and breakdown.
