Title: Payroll Manager

Pay: $30-$34/hour
Location: Vancouver, WA

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of our payroll operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage a complex, semi-monthly payroll, solve problems, improve processes, and serve as the primary payroll resource for employees and managers. The ideal candidate brings strong full-cycle payroll experience, solid payroll accounting and reconciliation skills, and the confidence to step into an established operation and quickly take ownership.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and process semi-monthly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage employee changes, timekeeping discrepancies, payroll adjustments, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and off-cycle payroll
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Respond to employee and manager payroll questions
  • Complete payroll, benefit, 401(k), Workers’ Compensation, and month-end reconciliations
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related billbacks
  • Manage payroll calendars, deadlines, documentation, and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve payroll operations
  • Partner closely with Human Resources and Accounting
  • Supervise and support Payroll Assistant staff

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of payroll and/or benefits experience
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing full-cycle payroll
  • Experience supporting payroll populations of approximately 200+ employees preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and reconciliations
  • Experience working with multi-state payroll
  • Ability to work independently and adapt when priorities or processes change
  • ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus
