About Odyssey

Odyssey helps 8 and 9-figure consumer brands increase revenue, ROAS, and high-fives. With our unique understanding of messaging, targeting, media channels, and creative, we help companies find the inflection point that unlocks their next stage of growth.

About the Role

We're looking for a Performance Publishing Editor to own the content quality of 40 to 50+ advertorials a month across our network of publisher sites. You won't be coming up with the concepts (that comes from our creative department) but you will be the person who makes sure every advertorial that goes live is sharp, on-brand, and conversion-driven.

This is a hands-on editorial and process role. You'll manage our writers, keep the content pipeline moving, hold the quality bar, and report up to the creative department. If you're a strong editor who likes to keep a high-volume process running smoothly, this is your role.

Before you apply, hit record.
We want to see how you think before we read your resume. Record a 3–5 minute Loom video using the brief below — then attach the link at the bottom of your application. No Loom, no consideration. No pressure, though: there’s no perfect answer, just your process.

Brief:
Show us why you're an amazing writer / editor. Pull up an advertorial or other type of branded / non-branded article that you've written, explain your creative process, and explain any results.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Own the content quality of 40 to 50+ advertorials per month across our network of publisher sites

  • Edit and review every piece to ensure it is on-brand, conversion-driven, and ready to perform

  • Manage our writers, assigning work, giving feedback, and keeping output consistent and on time

  • Keep the content process running smoothly from brief to publish, flagging bottlenecks and keeping everything on schedule

  • Use our AI-enabled creative system and tools like Claude to make the writing and editing process faster and easier

  • Track how advertorials perform and feed learnings back into the process for the next round

  • Report up to the creative department, who owns concept and strategy

Experience / Knowledge Required
  • Strong editorial skills: you can edit, polish, and quality-check content quickly and consistently

  • Experience managing or coordinating a team of writers, or comfort doing so

  • Comfortable working at volume and keeping a high-output process organized and on deadline

  • Familiarity with advertorials, direct response, or performance-driven content is a strong plus

  • Comfortable working with AI writing tools (Claude or similar)

  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to keep a process moving without dropping the quality bar

  • A self-starter who can operate independently while reporting up to a creative lead

Location

This is a fully remote role.

Compensation & Benefits

Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
