Position Summary
The Perfusionist is an ideal health care service opportunity, operating the Heart Lung machine for bypass procedures, ECLS/ECMO, Ventricular Assists Devices, Intra-aortic balloon pumps and auto-transfusion devices. In this role you will provide surgical backup for procedures performed in the catheterization lab and hybrid rooms, ensuring excellent quality health care for patients and families.Responsibilities
- You will support continuing education as required by the perfusionist’s scope of practice
- You will assist in the evaluation of new equipment
- You will participate with development and revision of: policies and procedures, performance improvement, quality initiatives, and staff education
- You will assists other staff members and hospital personnel in completion of needed tasks and makes interdepartmental service in interest of patient care number one priority
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Science
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited school of cardiovascular Certified or certification eligible as per guidelines of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within 24 months of hire date
- Current BLS certification
- Recent Pediatric/Congenital Heart Surgery preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $161,491.00 - $234,707.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.Associated benefit information can be viewed here.
