About the Role:

Support our healthcare partners & help them thrive at Meduit! The Platform Architect (Data & Application Platform) is responsible for shaping and evolving Meduit’s shared application and data platform that supports product development and data consumption. This role ensures cohesive platform patterns across applications, databases, and pipelines, with a strong emphasis on unifying disparate data schemas into a consistent and shared data model. The Platform Architect partners with engineering, data, and product teams to design hands-on solutions that replace complex and manual processes with scalable, repeatable, and automated platform capabilities that support analytics-ready and consumable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and evolve a cohesive application and data platform architecture that aligns application services, databases, integrations, and pipelines. 
  • Establish and maintain platform standards, patterns, and guidance to support consistent implementation across engineering and data teams. 
  • Analyze and reconcile disparate database schemas, designing shared and standardized schema definitions where appropriate. 
  • Define canonical data models that enable consistent interpretation of data across products and services. 
  • Design automated solutions to replace complex, multi-step, and manual data workflows. 
  • Develop scripts and tooling to orchestrate data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes. 
  • Enable turn-key data ingestion pipelines to support consistent onboarding of new data sources. 
  • Design controlled, scalable data egress patterns to support downstream systems and application databases. 
  • Design data structures and integration patterns optimized for analytics and reporting consumption. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for Power BI and other reporting tools. 
  • Promote data consistency, quality, and traceability across operational and analytical use cases. 
  • Evaluate and influence platform and data technologies used across the product ecosystem. 
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Data Development, DevOps, and Application Support teams to align implementations with platform standards. 
  • Provide architectural guidance during solution design and implementation without serving as a direct people manager. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with application platforms, data systems, or solution architecture. 
  • Strong experience with relational databases and schema design (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL). 
  • Demonstrated experience integrating data across multiple systems with differing schemas. 
  • Proficiency writing scripts or developing tooling to automate data, integration, or platform workflows. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex technical and data challenges. 
  • Ability to document and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work hands-on while maintaining a holistic, end-to-end view of platform solutions. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience defining and implementing canonical or shared data models across multiple applications. 
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and analytics-oriented data design. 
  • Experience supporting, enabling, or designing solutions for Power BI or similar reporting platforms. 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure. 
  • Experience with modern data pipeline architectures and automation patterns. 
  • Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) concepts, including claims, coding, denials, or related operational data.
