Key Responsibilities
- Implement Strategic UX Overhauls: Partner with Design to execute high-impact projects, such as overhauling company-wide interaction patterns, standardizing templates, or re-imagining dynamic customer journeys.
- Build Foundational Design Patterns: Engineer, update, and maintain reusable components and patterns that accelerate feature delivery for all product teams.
- Contribute to the Design System: Ensure new and updated patterns are scalable, performant, and contributed back to our internal design systems for global use.
- Explore "North Star" Concepts: Pair directly with designers to explore future-state "North Star" proposals, building prototypes in both Figma and code to validate ideas and inform future roadmaps.
- Targeted UX enhancements: Triage, prioritize (with design), and rapidly fix small enhancements, polish items, and bugs reported by customers and internal teams.
- Add Polish and Enhancements: Elevate the user experience by adding thoughtful microinteractions and polish to components and core workflows.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a hybrid Design Engineer, UI Engineer, or Frontend Engineer role with a strong design focus.
- Expertise in building modern, scalable, and responsive UI applications using React, TypeScript, and advanced CSS.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to translate complex design concepts (Figma, Sketch, etc.) into high-quality, pixel-perfect code.
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or contributing to a component library or design system (e.g., using Storybook).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with designers and product managers to scope work and find scalable solutions.
- A pragmatic and product-oriented mindset, capable of balancing technical debt, design intent, and development velocity.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with UX prototyping and iterating in both high-fidelity (Figma) and code-based tools.
- A keen eye for motion design and experience implementing subtle microinteractions and animations.
- Familiarity with web accessibility (WCAG) and building inclusive interfaces.
- Experience working on large-scale, platform-level products used by multiple teams.
- Ability to triage and prioritize a backlog of small enhancements and bugs based on impact and effort.
