Location: AustinAbout the Role
The Platform Engineer, Test at inKind is responsible for owning and evolving the testing platform that underpins the quality and velocity of every product we ship. This role exists to ensure that engineering teams can move quickly and confidently — backed by automated testing infrastructure that is fast, reliable, and trusted across web, mobile, and backend services.
This is a deeply technical, hands-on role with meaningful ownership. You will design and build the frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD systems that engineers rely on every day to verify their changes. You will help define what "tested" means at inKind and partner with software engineers to make our applications easier to test from the start.
At inKind, engineering operates through small, autonomous pods that own products and outcomes end-to-end. Rather than acting as a centralized gatekeeper, you will enable every pod to deliver high-quality software independently by providing the tooling, standards, and infrastructure that scale across the organization. Your success will be measured not only by the quality of the testing platform itself, but by how effectively engineering teams can move with confidence.
You'll work closely with application engineers, quality engineers, product managers, and engineering leaders, but your primary focus will be the platform itself: the frameworks, infrastructure, tooling, and pipelines that make high-quality software possible at scale.

- Deep knowledge of testing frameworks such as Appium, XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical approach to technical challenges
- Passion for engineering quality and a track record of improving developer workflows
- Experience supporting multiple product teams or pods through shared platform ownership
- Experience scaling testing infrastructure during periods of rapid company growth
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
- Experience with containerized testing environments and CI/CD optimization
