Risk Strategies, Captives partner Oxford is looking for a detail‑oriented Policy Administration Specialist to support policy issuance for both ISO‑based and custom (ERM) insurance programs. This role focuses on assembling policy documents, supporting manual rating, maintaining accuracy and version control, and working closely with Underwriting, Insurance Operations, and Compliance.

This position will also play a key role in the rollout of Oxford’s Policy Administration System (PAS), helping transition existing manual processes into a scalable, well‑controlled system. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with policy forms, improving processes, and growing alongside evolving systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Assembly & Issuance

  • Assemble policies using approved ISO forms, endorsements, declarations, and Oxford’s custom coverage language.
  • Combine ISO and custom coverages into complete, accurate policy packets when required.
  • Ensure correct forms, edition dates, and versions are used.
  • Maintain organized electronic policy files and perform quality checks for accuracy.

Manual Rating & Technical Support

  • Support manual rating using ISO rules, loss costs, and Excel‑based worksheets.
  • Assist with pricing and documentation for custom coverages.
  • Clearly document rating assumptions and decisions to support consistency and audit needs.
  • Help monitor and apply changes from ISO updates or internal program changes.

Custom Coverage (ERM) Support

  • Assist with issuing and maintaining custom coverage forms, schedules, and program terms.
  • Track coverage versions and support updates in collaboration with Underwriting and Compliance.
  • Help standardize custom coverage components to support future automation.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain logs and documentation related to issued policies and forms.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory requests related to policy issuance.
  • Help create and maintain simple SOPs, checklists, and workflows.

PAS Implementation & Operational Support

  • Support the transition from manual policy issuance to Oxford’s Policy Administration System.
  • Assist with testing, process documentation, and user feedback during implementation.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for understanding policy workflows, system requirements and serve as the point of contact for developing those standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve policy issuance processes.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Underwriting, Insurance Operations, Compliance, and Sales.
  • Help bridge underwriting intent with operational execution.
  • Contribute to building scalable, efficient policy administration processes.

Capabilities:

  • Experience assembling insurance policies or working with policy documentation.
  • Experience with policy administration systems
  • Familiarity with ISO forms and commercial P&C concepts
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and structured templates.
  • Strong attention to detail and organized work habits.
  • Interest in process improvement and systems implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience with custom coverages is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, risk management, finance, or related field)
  • 3–6 years of experience in insurance operations, policy administration, underwriting support, or a related role
  • Hands‑on experience assembling or reviewing commercial P&C policies
  • Exposure to ISO forms (usage, form selection, endorsements)—deep expertise not required
  • Experience working with manual or semi‑manual policy issuance processes

Pay Range:

$51,800 - $80,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
