We are seeking an exceptionally talented Principal Backend / Platform Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join our rapidly growing team.
We’re building a next-generation cybersecurity product that protects users from social engineering attacks across all communication channels. The system combines a client-side agent with a cloud platform that performs real-time analysis under strict privacy constraints.
This is a high-ownership role where you will design and own the cloud-side architecture, spanning real-time systems, data pipelines, and platform infrastructure.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- Strong experience designing distributed backend systems
- Deep familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience building data pipelines or real-time processing systems
- Strong understanding of security and privacy in system design
- Ability to own architecture end-to-end with minimal oversight
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience in cybersecurity or privacy-sensitive products
- Familiarity with ML/AI systems (supporting, not necessarily building models)
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Exposure to streaming systems or event-driven architectures
Responsibilities:
- Own the cloud platform architecture end-to-end, including design, scalability, and reliability
- Design and implement low-latency real-time detection pipelines (client → cloud → response)
- Build and maintain data ingestion and processing systems ensuring high data quality and clean interfaces with ML systems
- Develop admin and control-plane backends, including internal tooling and customer-facing APIs (multi-tenant, RBAC, auditability)
- Design and enforce privacy-first systems, ensuring sensitive data is processed securely without unnecessary storage
- Own platform infrastructure, including Azure cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
- Establish observability, reliability standards, and system health monitoring
- Design and enforce end-to-end security, including platform hardening and supply chain security
