About Us

Be a compliance leader in Dyson’s Global Compliance & Approvals Team, specializing in IoT compliance and certification activities (Cybersecurity, EMC and Radio (RF, WI-FI, Bluetooth) for connected products. This role provides IoT compliance certification and testing coordination, drives global IoT compliance certification strategy and ensures products meet worldwide regulatory requirements across the full product lifecycle. Your work will directly influence how quickly and confidently our products reach over 90 countries.

About the role

  • Define global compliance and market access strategies for IoT compliance and certification activities (Cybersecurity, EMC and Radio (RF, WI-FI, Bluetooth).

  • Direct certification efforts for markets including FCC, CE/RED, ISED, SIRIM, SRRC, MIC, MSIP, etc.

  • Ensure that the knowledge on technical requirements and standards within their own disciplines, as applicable to Dyson products and target markets, is obtained, evaluated and maintained

  • Ensure that the compliance requirements within all projects and disciplines are validated, using the methods agreed within the scope of regulations

  • Ensure that the process of making available such information in a timely manner and agreed format to the other groups of the Team is appropriate, robust and flexible

  • Support the goals of the global C&A Team in collaboration with its Team leaders

  • Understand and manage the risks associated with product compliance or approvals

  • Represent the C&A Team at all levels within Dyson and may represent Dyson externally

  • May have a direct and decisive influence in international standards making activities within own disciplines

  • Identify and/or evaluate areas for improvement in the Product delivery activities

  • May have an advanced understanding of quality systems and assurance

  • Mentor Team members that require development within the PD team

  • Own/contribute to Team/department level initiatives & change projects

  • Contribute to team recruitment activity

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in EMC/RF compliance, wireless approvals, or IoT device engineering

  • Strong knowledge of IoT standards (, ETSI EN 303645, CISPR 14-1 &2, Bluetooth SIG, ETSI EN18031, UK PSTI, AU Data Act and Telecommunications Infrastructure, etc.).

  • Expert-level knowledge of global regulations and testing standards

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence highly technical decisions

  • Standards body participation (ETSI, IEEE, IEC, UL, etc.)

  • Experience with Industrial IoT environments

Skills          

  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory and technical standards principles

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant technical disciplines

  • In-depth understanding of the C&A process for the main Dyson markets and good understanding of the C&A process for the other Dyson markets

  • Extensive understanding of different avenues of intelligence gathering and intelligence services providers and ability at merging them to provide a comprehensive Regulatory Intelligence source platform

  • Relevant experience of R&D development in a range of product categories

  • Ability to communicate unambiguous regulatory concepts to the global C&A Team and R&D, the broader business and external parties

  • Own in-depth understanding of regulations and standards developments

  • Ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate work with others

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Able and confident at influencing and motivating others

  • Ability to work at all levels and to share knowledge

  • Recognised as an expert in Regulatory matter across a number of disciplines applicable to Dyson products

  • Seen as a main contributor at resolving compliance testing and certification issues

  • Communicate effectively with all business functions, ensuring non-technical leaders correctly understand the impact of Regulatory issues

  • Works autonomously with minimal support or guidance

  • Acts as a role model, mentors and guides others

  • Takes a technical lead in their specialist area
