What You'll Do

As our Principal Designer, you'll be the driving force behind Edmentum's Design System and Brand Guidelines, shaping how millions of educators and students experience our brand. Partnering closely with the Creative Director, you'll build and govern the systems that keep our visual identity consistent, scalable, and accessible across every touchpoint, while staying hands-on with the craft you love: design systems, motion graphics, web design, and brand storytelling. You'll play a central role in our brand refresh and modernization efforts, and your work will connect Marketing, Product, and Development around one unified creative vision.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development, governance, and evolution of Edmentum's design systems and Figma component libraries
  • Shape and maintain the brand guidelines and visual identity that define how Edmentum shows up in the world
  • Design scalable, accessible web experiences, templates, and UI solutions
  • Create standout marketing assets across digital, social, email, web, presentations, events, and print
  • Partner across Product, Development, Marketing, and content teams to bring one consistent brand to life everywhere
  • Bring stories to motion through animation, motion graphics, and video
  • Champion smarter workflows, stronger documentation, and AI-enhanced design practices

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • You have 10 or more years of experience spanning graphic design, brand design, creative marketing, design systems, and UX/UI design
  • You are a Figma power user with deep expertise in libraries, components, variables, FigJam, and Buzz
  • You have built and governed enterprise design systems
  • You have a strong command of Atomic Design, responsive design, web design, and user experience principles
  • You are an expert in typography, layout, and visual storytelling
  • You are proficient across Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
  • You bring motion graphics and animation experience to your work
  • You have designed presentations and sales enablement materials that land
  • You collaborate seamlessly with software development and product teams
  • You embrace AI-powered design workflows to work smarter
  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs

Pay range for this role:
$130,000$150,000 USD

At Edmentum, we are committed to pay transparency. The salary range provided reflects market research, the responsibilities of the role, and alignment with our compensation principles. Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets. All compensation decisions are individualized and based on the specific circumstances of each candidate.
