- Design, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in the Spectrum Data Center.
- Mentor and guide technical teams to develop architecture and operational standards in the Spectrum Data Center environment.
- Maintain system design standards through rigorous testing and review.
- Setting project and task priorities, creating solutions to complex problems, assigning work and deliverables to junior engineers, and provide mentoring and development opportunities to junior staff.
- Building and deploying automated solutions and dashboards.
- Influencing infrastructure, deployment, and development environment decisions to best support the team.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Eight (8) years of network or software engineering experience as a technical leader.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and / or equivalent work experience.
- Technical skills: Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, concepts and Services (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, OSI network layers, DNS, DHCP). Expertise with tools like Jira, AWS and Splunk.
- Skills: Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills. Experience in designing solutions that improve operational and situational awareness (dashboards, websites, data processing, translations, user interfaces, big data).
- Abilities: Can multi tasks and quickly pivot to changing priorities and tight deadlines. Can assess a problem and determine an effective course of action with sustainable solutions. Can handle multiple assignments simultaneously and is accountable to the tasks assigned. Proven ability to digest complex asks and provide technical and software solutions to measure and report on real-time issues and performance analysis.
- Work Environment: This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days).
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert level knowledge of Linux.
- Experience architecting, designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with OpenShift.
- Knowledge of Cloud Management Platforms.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining OpenStack environments.
- Networking knowledge to include routing, switching, BGP, data center fabrics, EVPN-VXLAN, spine-leaf.
- Load Balancing, experience with F5 Big IP preferred.
- Experience with software defined storage preferred.
- Proficiency with shell scripting and a familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Ruby.
- Experience with AWS.
