Who We Are

adMarketplace is the largest global marketplace for Native Search advertising. For over 25 years, we’ve connected brands with consumers at the moment they express commercial intent beyond legacy search engines.
Today, our Native Search solutions are exclusively integrated across next-generation platforms where discovery happens, including web browsers, Buy Now Pay Later apps, and AI chat surfaces. Powered by vector search technology, our platform delivers relevant text and product ads that match consumers with the brands, products, and offers they’re actively seeking.
Our award-winning culture is grounded in the principles of Curiosity, Collaboration, Creative Conflict, Commitment, and Competitiveness – our 5Cs. These values drive us to turn complexity into clarity and create measurable value for consumers, advertisers, and publishers alike.

The Role

adMarketplace is looking for an Insights Principal to uncover the stories hidden within our marketplace data - and turn them into insights that shape how advertisers, publishers, and our own leaders understand consumer behavior and the open web.

This is a senior individual contributor role that will serve as adMarketplace’s go-to authority on complex research, strategic analysis, and data-driven storytelling, including competitive intelligence, understanding adjacent marketplaces, and macroeconomic trends across the AI advertising space.

You will tackle questions that don't have clear answers or existing dashboards. You'll combine adMarketplace's proprietary data with rigorous analytical thinking to identify behavioral trends, understand consumer intent, illuminate marketplace dynamics, and develop original research that can influence both our clients and our business.

Your work will go beyond explaining what happened, and uncover useful and defensible insights that tell our story. Your work will have a high degree of visibility with senior leadership, including C-Suite and Executive leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales

What You'll Do
  • Lead Strategic Research - Own complex, ambiguous analyses across consumers, advertisers, publishers, commerce, and marketplace dynamics.

  • Build Consumer Intent Intelligence - Use proprietary marketplace data to understand discovery, intent, consumer journeys, behavioral shifts, and emerging trends.

  • Create Advertiser & Publisher Insights - Develop differentiated analyses that help partners understand consumers, categories, demand, supply, Media Value, and growth opportunities.

  • Develop Market Intelligence - Identify structural shifts, risks, opportunities, and emerging marketplace dynamics that standard reporting may miss.

  • Turn Analysis Into Narratives - Translate complex research into executive-ready presentations, reports, visualizations, and external thought leadership.

  • Raise the Insights Bar - Build reusable research frameworks and mentor analysts and scientists on analytical framing, synthesis, visualization, and storytelling.

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years experience in analytics, insights, research, data science, strategy, or a related quantitative field.

  • Exceptional ability to take ambiguous questions and structure them into rigorous analytical investigations.

  • Advanced SQL skills and comfort working directly with large, complex datasets.

  • Strong statistical intuition and ability to evaluate whether patterns are meaningful and defensible.

  • Exceptional data visualization and storytelling skills.

  • Ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise, executive-level narratives.

  • Strong commercial instincts and curiosity about consumers, advertising, media, and marketplaces.

  • Ability to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

  • A track record of producing analysis that changed how a business or client understood an important problem.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in ad tech, digital media, consumer insights, search, commerce, marketplaces, or marketing analytics.

  • Experience producing research or insights for advertisers, agencies, publishers, or other external clients.

  • Experience with consumer behavioral or intent data.

  • Python or R experience for analyses that extend beyond SQL.

  • Experience developing externally published research, industry reports, or thought leadership.

  • Familiarity with causal inference and experimentation, while recognizing when a question requires descriptive insight rather than a causal claim.
