The Move Money Platform connects Versapay to the world’s financial systems. Every card authorization, financial event, and post-transaction action flows through our money movement platform. As a Principal Product Manager, you own the network strategy, design, connections, compliance, and ultimate performance of our network relationships. Our job is to build a platform that obscures the complexity, maximizes acceptance, and handles volume gracefully across a global network of fiat and crypto partners. Our work will optimize cost, efficiency, and enable rapid geographic expansion.

The principal platform product manager owns the Move Money Platform end-to-end.  This is a role with global scope and full ownership of platform and network strategy, roadmap development, and execution/ delivery. You will set our global network strategy, decide which rails we connect to and how, design the routing logic that handles each transaction, own resiliency and redundancy across providers, and represent Versapay externally with networks, sponsor banks, processors, custodians, on/off-ramp partners, and regulators.

This role reports into the Payments product organization. It is structured for someone who has owned network products at a payments, processing, or fintech company and is energized by the operational and strategic depth of running a global money-movement platform spanning fiat and crypto rails.

What you'll do:

    • Own the Move Money Platform roadmap, strategy, and execution globally. Set the multi-year vision for how Versapay connects to financial networks (fiat and crypto) across North America, EMEA, and expansion markets. Translate that vision into a durable roadmap with clear bets, sequencing, and measurable outcomes: auth rate, cost per transaction, settlement speed, uptime, and geographic coverage, etc...
    • Lead engineering teams through the full SDLC. Own product requirements, technical design partnership, sprint planning, and release readiness across the engineering pods that build and operate the platform. Drive trade-off decisions on architecture, throughput, latency, and resiliency in collaboration with engineering leadership, and stay accountable for shipping on commitment.
    • Design and operate our network connectivity across fiat and crypto. Design network connections, including which networks connect directly versus through processors, sponsor banks, custodians, or on/off-ramp partners..
    • Own redundancy, resiliency, and performance. Define our fault-tolerance posture across providers, rails, and chains. Eliminate single points of failure. Build automated failover and graceful degradation between fiat and crypto rails when conditions warrant.
    • Own compliance across networks, chains, and jurisdictions. Stay ahead of network compliance and operating rule adherence for fiat and crypto rails. Translate these into product requirements before they become audit findings.
    • Be Versapay’s external face to networks, partners, and regulators. Build and maintain trusted relationships with card networks, ACH and RTP operators, sponsor banks, processors, stablecoin issuers, custodians, on/off-ramp partners, etc.. Represent Versapay in scheme working groups, partner roadmap reviews, regulator-facing engagements.
    • Use AI to make the network smarter. Apply modern AI capabilities to network operations across fiat and crypto: intelligent routing, decline recovery, on-chain anomaly detection, fraud and sanctions signal integration, settlement forecasting, and operational automation. Have a clear point of view on where AI improves a money-movement platform and where it should not be near it.
    • Be the in-house expert. Serve as Versapay’s authority on payment networks, money-movement mechanics, stablecoin and on-chain settlement, and global rail economics. Educate product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams. Brief executives. Influence the broader product roadmap with what you know about where the world’s payment infrastructure is going.

What you'll bring to the team:

    • 8+ years in payments or fintech product management, with at least 3 years owning a platform or infrastructure product end to end. Principal product leader who has owned a roadmap globally, not just contributed to one regionally.
    • Demonstrated experience designing, integrating, and operating payment network connections across both fiat and crypto rails. You have shipped and run direct or indirect connections to card networks and EMEA bank networks. On the crypto side, you have hands on experience with stablecoin settlement, on/off-ramp integrations, custody connections, and at least one production payment flow on a public chain.
    • Deep payments expertise across North America and EMEA, spanning fiat and crypto.
    • Track record of leading engineering teams through the full SDLC. You have owned engineering pods or squads as the product lead, writing the requirements, partnering with engineering on technical design, running sprint cadence, and shipping on commitment. You are comfortable being measured on engineering output as well as product outcomes.
    • Operator’s instinct for resiliency, routing, and performance. You have built or materially improved a routing engine, a failover strategy, or a network performance program. You think in terms of auth rate lift, cost basis points, p99 latency, finality time, and uptime.
    • Partner-facing and, where required, regulator-facing presence. You can represent the company in a scheme working group, a sponsor bank quarterly review, a stablecoin issuer roadmap session, or a regulator briefing  and adjust register without losing substance.
    • AI-forward mindset (preferred). Hands-on experience applying LLMs, ML, or agentic systems to network operations and a clear point of view on where AI does and does not belong inside the money-movement path.
    • Excellent executive and partner communication. You can take a complex network or routing concept and explain it crisply to a CFO, a board, an engineer, a card scheme product manager, a stablecoin issuer, and a regulator.
    • Builder mentality. Entrepreneurial, biased to action, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by net-new initiatives where the path is not yet drawn.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
