Job Overview
The Principal Program Manager, Program Office is a strategic individual contributor responsible for leading the highest-impact programs and projects that align with the company's digital transformation and customer experience goals. This role requires an innovative and self-motivated professional adept at managing ambiguity and independently delivering impactful results. They expertly apply program and project management methodologies to design solutions, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations. The Principal, Program Manager builds and fosters cross-functional relationships across Product, Technology, Marketing, Consumer and back-office teams to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes. Exceptional attention to detail and extensive wireless/technology background is critical to success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads end-to-end program and project planning, including scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment. Develops and manages program roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Analyzes complex problems and identifies innovative solutions. Prepares and presents strategic recommendations, highlighting risks, benefits, and potential impacts to stakeholders. Facilitates decision-making processes by delivering clear, data-driven insights.
  • Builds and sustains cross-functional relationships with key partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment throughout the program lifecycle. Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Designs and implements scalable processes and structures for the Program Office, enhancing efficiency, accountability, and program governance. Identifies and shares best practices to continuously improve performance and outcomes.
  • Tracks, monitors, and reports on program metrics and deliverables, ensuring transparency and accountability. Provides regular updates to stakeholders and adjusts plans as needed to mitigate risks and achieve goals.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. (Preferred)
  • Work Experience:
  • 4-7 years Demonstrated expertise in developing strategies, solving problems, and implementing scalable solutions in ambiguous environments (Required)
  • 4-7 years Experience in working with senior leadership and managing stakeholder relationships across diverse teams (Required)
  • 7-10 years 7-10 years of program management experience, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs and projects (Preferred)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Program Management Deep understanding of program and project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and PMI best practices. (Required)
  • Problem Solving Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate options and provide clear, actionable recommendations. (Required)
  • Organization Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. (Required)
  • Communication Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including experience delivering executive-level presentations. (Required)
  • Independent: Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate resilience in dynamic, fast-paced environments. (Required)

    Base Pay Range: $103,100 - $186,100

    Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
