Our mission is to make exceptional healthcare accessible anytime, anywhere, for anyone.

At Assort Health, we believe healthcare should feel effortless and connected — quick answers, clear communication, and seamless access to care. That’s why we’re building a new foundation for how patients and providers connect, driven by AI, built to embrace the complexities of healthcare, and tailored to each provider’s unique needs.

Assort is the most comprehensive patient experience platform powered by specialty-specific agentic AI. Assort’s omnichannel AI agents seamlessly integrate with EHR/PMS and complicated provider preferences to eliminate lengthy hold times and inefficiencies that stand in the way of patients getting the care they need.

Since launching in 2023, Assort has managed over 150M+ patient interactions, slashing average hold times from 11 minutes to 1 minute. Our platform now handles calls for thousands of providers with 98%+ resolution rates and 99% scheduling accuracy. Patient satisfaction averages 4.5/5 over 52K reviews, and we’ve achieved 20× revenue growth in 2025. We’re scaling rapidly and expanding adoption across the entire healthcare industry.

About the Role

We are hiring a Principal, Strategic Partnerships (Private Equity) to build and scale one of Assort’s most important growth channels. This is a high-impact, external-facing role at the intersection of private equity, enterprise sales, and operator-led GTM strategy. You will own relationships with healthcare-focused PE firms and translate those relationships into a repeatable pipeline of high-quality opportunities across their portfolio companies.

Location: Remote (San Francisco or New York preferred)

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of private equity, AI, and healthcare transformation—and to build a high-leverage growth channel from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with our founders and executive leadership, engage with top-tier investors, and play a central role in shaping how AI is adopted across healthcare organizations at scale.

This role is designed for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the chance to build something substantial

Your mandate is twofold:

  1. Drive near-term revenue by sourcing and converting PE-generated opportunities

  2. Build a scalable playbook that establishes Assort as the preferred AI partner across healthcare-focused PE firms

This is not a traditional partnerships role. You will operate as a hybrid of enterprise seller, strategic operator, and relationship builder.

What You’ll Do:Build & Own Private Equity Relationships
  • Develop and manage relationships with leading healthcare-focused PE firms, including partners, operating teams, and value creation leaders

  • Position Assort as a strategic lever for revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational scalability across portfolio companies

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on how AI can drive value across multi-site provider organizations

Drive Portfolio-Level GTM Motion
  • Generate qualified pipeline by securing warm introductions into portfolio companies

  • Partner with PE firms to establish preferred vendor status and, where applicable, negotiate portfolio-wide agreements

  • Build repeatable frameworks for identifying, prioritizing, and activating opportunities across PE portfolios

Own Pipeline & Opportunity Generation
  • Carry a quota focused on pipeline creation and sales-qualified opportunities

  • Source and qualify deals, then partner closely with Specialty-focused Account Executives to drive them to close

  • Lead strategic negotiations directly with PE firms when required

Operate Cross-Functionally
  • Coordinate across a growing sales team covering specialty providers and health systems

  • Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and packaging for PE-backed organizations

  • Provide market feedback to inform product and positioning; be “the voice of our PE partners”

Build for Scale
  • Systematize learnings into a repeatable, scalable PE GTM playbook

  • Define the long-term strategy for Assort’s private equity channel

What We’re Looking For:

A high-caliber operator who thrives in ambiguous, high-ownership environments and is excited to own both strategy and execution.

Core Experience
  • 8–10+ years of experience in healthcare private equity, investment banking (healthcare), or a closely related field

  • Deep understanding of healthcare delivery, including clinical, operational, and financial drivers across provider organizations

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, including PE partners and C-suite executives

Execution & Ownership
  • Proven track record of owning outcomes, not just strategy

  • Comfortable carrying a quota tied to pipeline and opportunity generation

  • Excited to refine and scale a GTM motion

Commercial & Interpersonal Strength
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences (PE partners, operators, internal teams)

  • High EQ—skilled at reading rooms, building trust, and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics

  • Strong executive presence and attention to detail

Operating Mindset
  • Bias for action and speed; thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments

  • Highly analytical and metrics-driven

  • Naturally curious, intellectually honest, and principled in approach

Nice to Have
  • MBA from a top program

  • Experience working with or deploying AI solutions in healthcare

What Success Looks Like
  • Assort becomes a trusted AI partner to top healthcare PE firms

  • Demonstrate a repeatable engine for sourcing and converting PE-driven opportunities

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
