As a trusted Workday partner, Skillcentrix advises leading organizations-including Fortune 500 clients-on adopting skills-based operating models across talent, learning, and workforce planning. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, with a sharp focus on measurable value realization.

We are growing our Advisory Practice and are seeking a Principal, Workday Advisory Services to lead complex client engagements, partner with senior executives, contribute to business development, and deliver high-impact advisory services. This role is ideal for a senior, client-facing leader with deep experience in HR transformation, skills strategy, and enterprise change. As a result, this role requires comfort operating in ambiguity, helping clients make decisions while strategies are still forming, and translating executive intent into practical, actionable paths forward. Success in this role depends as much on judgment and influence as it does on certification with formal change frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the evolution of Skillcentrix Advisory Services, shaping offerings across skills strategy, governance, learning, and change
  • Design and lead end-to-end HR and skills transformations, delivering measurable, value-based outcomes
  • Lead complex, multi-workstream transformation programs, including:
    • HR strategy and governance
    • Change management and communications
    • Organization and talent readiness
    • HR service delivery, technology, data, and analytics
  • Advise Fortune 500 clients on Workday Skills Cloud, Learning, and Talent strategies
  • Partner with C-suite and senior leaders to align talent strategies with business priorities and improve workforce agility
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive engagement across client and internal teams
  • Support business development through proposal development, client conversations, and executive presentations
  • Provide thought leadership on skills-based workforce practices across industries, including healthcare and financial services

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Strategy, HR Transformation, HR Operating Models, and HR Technology
  • Experience in a Workday consulting or advisory environment, advising clients on skills-based and HR transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with formal change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) is expected; ability to apply them pragmatically in dynamic, ambiguous environments is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, influence senior leaders, and drive clarity in fast-moving, high-change environments
  • Proven success leading large, complex transformation programs with multiple workstreams
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and influencing skills

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
