POSITION DESCRIPTION 

The Privacy Analyst will report to and work with the Sr. Director – Privacy to support key privacy initiatives within the Global Privacy Office (GPO). This person will execute and provide oversight for a variety of privacy projects for the enterprise privacy compliance program and McKesson Business Units (BUs). This role plays a critical role to McKesson’s enterprise privacy compliance program.  

The Privacy Analyst contributes to the development of GPO goals and objectives and works closely with members of the GPO, the Digital & Data Assets legal team, Business Unit Compliance teams, Cybersecurity, and other business colleagues to support and monitor the implementation of privacy programs. This Privacy Analyst will be flexible and contribute to the fulfillment of various project privacy objectives. 

Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Facilitates the GPO’s Privacy Notice Program  
  • Stays abreast of regulatory changes affecting McKesson’s Privacy Notices 
  • Collaborates with BUs to ensure their Privacy Notices posted on websites, applications, and portals are up to date 
  • Works with Digital and Data Assets (DDA) team on scoping decisions for privacy notices 
  • Leads and/or participates on BU working groups while serving as a liaison for McKesson’s Digital Marketing Team 
  • Maintains GPO’s Privacy Microsite on McKesson’s Intra-net
  • Assists with GPO privacy-specific foreign language translations and maintenance of policies and procedures within ServiceNow
  • Triages and organizes privacy-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders through the GPO’s Privacy Mailbox
  • Gathers, organizes, and quantifies privacy metrics, surveys and questionnaire response
  • Identifies risks and escalates privacy compliance concerns to GPO Leadership and through Speak Up mechanisms, as appropriate
  • Assists with privacy training initiatives, such as but not limited to, Data Privacy Day 
  • Maintains central repository of GPO contracts, budgets, employee certifications and expenses 

Minimum Requirements 

  • 2+ years’ experience with work experience in health care privacy, compliance and/or the management of privacy projects and programs  

Critical Skills 

  • Experience with drafting privacy notices
  • Familiarity with healthcare privacy compliance
  • Ability to issue spot for risk 
  • Emphasis on attention to detail to track progress in a systematic manner  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time 
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and orally, including the ability to communicate at all organizational levels 
  • Responds to communication timely, proactively and positively 
  • Reputation for exercising the highest integrity  
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and tolerance for ambiguity
  • Proficient with Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook   

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preference given to those with healthcare or legal background. 

Certifications/Licensure  

  • CIPP and/or PMP certification desired 

Physical requirements 

  • Typical office environment  
  • Occasional travel

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$64,500 - $107,500
