JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Private Cloud Platform Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. In this role, you will administer and optimize enterprise virtualization platforms while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across our private cloud environments.
You will collaborate with global engineering, networking, and security teams while participating in a 24/7 operational support model.
Responsibilities- Administer and support VMware, Nutanix, and Hyper-V environments.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Partner with networking and cybersecurity teams to maintain secure infrastructure.
- Support datacenter operations when required.
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in shift rotations and weekend on-call support.
- Continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Strong experience with VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.
- Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with vulnerability management and infrastructure hardening.
- Familiarity with datacenter infrastructure and operational best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively within global teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ or higher) and ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP).
- RHCSA, Microsoft, Azure, or AWS certifications are considered a plus.
