Role Summary
Provides technical expertise and operational support for B41 Injectables Operation with focus upon the Injectable Manufacturing operations. Partners with shop floor colleagues and supervision to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production of a diverse mix of injectable products. Assists in equipment and process troubleshooting activities as needed. Develops as a key technical subject matter expert within the site for production and process technologies.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
  • Identify and implement cost savings ideas, specifically line efficiency improvements and other projects that increase equipment capacity.
  • Develops and validates manufacturing processes for drug products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to production, from other sites, or within the site.
  • Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of formulation to determine control over applicable variables.
  • Investigates deviations that occur on the manufacturing floor. Performs root-cause analysis and identifies appropriate, effective corrective actions. Implements corrective actions in conjunction with the appropriate enabling groups, i.e. engineering, maintenance, quality, validation, environmental health and safety.
  • Leads technical improvement projects aimed at defect reduction, improved equipment reliability, and better equipment utilization.
  • Serves as customer project manager on equipment purchases or improvements; interface closely with engineering to specify user requirements, review and approve drawings, define project scopes.
  • Successful candidate must be familiar with tools and techniques required to manage large scale complex projects through multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with other enabling departments (Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS etc.) to assure initiatives are successful.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):
  • BA/BS degree with any years of experience, or Associate's degree with 4+ years of experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
  • Pharmaceutical experience in Operations Engineering
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify and implement cost-effective solutions
  • Experience in optimizing production workflows
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Gowning to access production floor will be required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems is required.
  • Strong aptitude for learning process technology and equipment
  • Job will include standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Occasional lifting may be required.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Travel may be required for specific projects, training, or network support. (≤5%)
  • Job may also require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7-day operation.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $68,600.00 to $114,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
