About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Corporate and Product Business Development team is at the forefront of Salesforce’s growth, architecting and executing high-impact technology and go-to-market partnerships. Our partnerships accelerate the adoption of our products and drive material revenue, directly impacting our top corporate, product, and ecosystem goals. Our team is a critical lever for innovation, working with company leadership to define the future of our business.

As a Senior Manager, you will be a key leader in identifying, structuring, and negotiating complex technology partnerships. You'll manage the full deal lifecycle, from strategic analysis to closing agreements that deliver significant value. This is a high-visibility role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship building, and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Execution: Proactively identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnership opportunities aligned to our product and corporate priorities.

  • Partnership Strategies: Build out new partnership strategies, financial analyses, and technical product and integration plans for business development initiatives.

  • Partnership Materials: Lead the development of assets to communicate our strategies and partnership concepts, including well-designed pitch materials, strategy documents, mockups, and working demos where appropriate.

  • Negotiation & Execution: Structure and negotiate complex agreements that deliver mutual value and drive clear business outcomes for both Salesforce and our partners.

  • Relationship Development: Manage and grow key relationships with our partners, acting as a trusted advisor and champion for the partnership internally and externally. Represent our team’s initiatives with EVP+ and C-level audiences across Salesforce and our partners.

  • Internal Alignment: Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and legal teams to ensure all deals are aligned with our long-term strategy, and are scalable and built for mutual success, with a focus on creating and expanding partnerships to drive continuous innovation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, corporate development, partner engineering, or strategic partnerships roles, preferably within the enterprise software, SaaS, or technology industry.

  • Deal-Making Expertise: A demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value strategic partnerships.

  • Strategic Acumen: The ability to develop a clear partnership strategy and structure and analyze quantitative impacts. Strong commercial instincts combined with product knowledge and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Exceptional Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus with both internal and external executives.

  • Results-Oriented: A track record of delivering strategic partnerships with measurable outcomes such as revenue growth, product adoption, and market expansion.

  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
