About Knotch

We're a growth-stage technology company helping brands optimize content performance and apply AI to modern marketing. Our culture is fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly adaptable—we move quickly, test ideas, and evolve with our customers.

Through the Knotch platform, brands can measure the impact of their content, identify what drives results, and continuously improve performance across channels. By combining performance data, strategic insights, and AI-driven capabilities, we help marketing teams make smarter decisions and get more impact from every piece of content they produce.

About the Role
Our team is looking for a Product Designer who can own and elevate the end-to-end design of Knotch’s platform and emerging AI-powered products, while helping define what “great” looks like across our user experiences.

You’ll lead design from early research and conception through prototyping and implementation, bringing complex ideas to life with clarity and intention. A major focus of this role will be shaping a new AI-driven tool currently in development - partnering closely with our leadership team, product, and engineering, including an offshore development team, to define and deliver the experience from the ground up.

You’ll act as the SME in translating Knotch’s vision for the future of AI, content, and the web into high-quality product experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product design across Knotch’s platform, from discovery and ideation through prototyping, visual design, and implementation.
  • Lead design for a new AI-powered product currently in development, helping shape the core concepts, workflows, and UI where none yet exist.
  • Partner closely with leadership, product management, and engineering teams to solve complex problems and ship high quality solutions.
  • Translate ambiguous requirements and evolving ideas into thoughtful, intuitive user experiences.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using modern design tools, primarily Figma.
  • Contribute strong graphic and visual design skills across product UI, web, and supporting marketing experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and faithfully implemented.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, data, and evolving product strategy.

 How to be Successful

  • At least 5+ years of product design experience, ideally with a design agency or within B2B SaaS or platform-based products.
  • Experience designing AI-powered or data-driven products is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to own the full design lifecycle, from research and conception to shipped product.
  • Strong UI/UX fundamentals with a proven track record of delivering top-Knotch solutions to complex problems.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • A well-rounded designer — not just UX/UI, with strong visual, interactive, and graphic design skills.
  • Clear opinions about what great design looks like, and the confidence to challenge existing patterns when needed.
  • Collaborative at heart with experience working in tandem with technical teams, including distributed or offshore teams.

Why Join Knotch

You’ll help define and design the future of Knotch’s products, including a new AI-driven tool at a pivotal stage of development. This role offers significant ownership, creative latitude, and close collaboration with leadership, giving you real influence over how our products look, feel, and evolve as we scale.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
