- Kafka, Apache NiFi is highly preferred; and,
- Database design, creation, manipulation and query of Relational, and NoSQL datastores.Demonstrates intimate-level abilities and knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
- Designing and developing large scale distributed data processing systems/applications or large scale internet systems utilizing Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript etc.;
- Developing and maintaining Knative, Docker and Kubernetes deployments using yamls, HELM, Kube-operators;
- Possessing experience using monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana;
- Creating Web User Interface (UI) with use of recent javascript libraries like HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS);
- Working with Agile Methodologies and developing code using object oriented design, implementation and maturation to take advantage of the language feature sets;
- Teaching, mentoring, growing, and providing advice to other domain experts, individual contributors, across several teams in their sub-department;
- Understanding of the full scope of the project required that this team is responsible for and can delegate tasks in an effective manner;
- Having the profound view of the project development and suggesting industry-leading ways to develop having in mind the final market goal;
- Identifying proactively opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and product features. Avoids duplication of effort by encouraging collaboration;
- Solving technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity for their sub-department;
- Interfacing with EMs above and enables Staff Engineers to engage on department-level aspects of larger (sub-department wide) initiatives;
- Looking for innovation opportunities between several teams with a willingness to experiment and to confront boldly problems of large complexity and scope; and,
- Proposing initial technical implementation that supports architectural changes to solve scaling and performance problems.

The salary range for this position is: $130,000 - $256,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
