We are looking for someone who can take a holistic view of our internal tools and website and quickly narrow down on the projects that will make the biggest impact.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the travel landscape with a preference for corporate travel experience, and knowledge of the tools and data travel consultants require to make informed decisions when supporting our customers.  Key responsibilities include the management of over 20 different internal services that support teams across the company.

The person in this role will manage and execute key strategies from concept creation and product design to development and delivery in partnership with our engineers and designers. What You'll Do:

  • Define product and technology requirements for Amex GBT's Internal Tools product offering that incorporates the voice of the customer and Amex GBT’s strategic objectives
  • Deliver strategic product vision for Internal tools including the development roadmap and go-to-market plan
  • Liaise with customers to address pain points and inquiries
  • Manage development timelines and scope with the engineers
  • Partner with designers to create best-in-class user interfaces and user experiences
  • Collaborate with product marketing on go to market strategies
  • Manage resource assignment, budget, and scope prioritization with a proven ability to make trade-offs when facing competing business demands
  • Regularly communicate with key stakeholders about product vision and roadmap, addressing questions and soliciting feedback
  • Stay current with competitive products and trends in the internal tool space
  • Provide subject matter expertise and serve as a trusted adviser to key internal stakeholders for your products

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years managing products in an agile environment, ideally in the travel and/or B2B space, with a proven track record of success
  • Passionate about technology, travel, and/or customer service
  • Obsessive about solving customer problems that can be complex in nature
  • Proven track record of successful product launches from ideation to launch, including post-launch success analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work approach
  • Ability to incorporate customer feedback and organizational priorities while balancing product vision and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to execute results on several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required, including written and verbal presentation skills, to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on project management.
  • Experience with Jira and writing user stories and working with technologies to develop the roadmap
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
