Overview

Azure Arc is at the foundation to deliver the Azure Hybrid vision, seamlessly extending Azure management and services to customer private cloud and other cloud environment. As a pivotal technology, Azure Arc enables the deployment of Azure services anywhere, bringing the agility and innovation of cloud computing to on-premises environments.

Our team builds the core services of Azure Arc platform, for this specific role, the individual will be focused in the Azure Arc server area, collaborating closely with partner teams to support Virtual Machine (VM) extensions and work closely with the customers and support team to improve the product quality and enhance user experience. This role provides opportunities to delve into the technology of the Azure, gaining valuable knowledge and expertise; to grow people skills through frequent interactions with multiple partner teams across the company. Additionally, regular customer engagements will provide a platform to apply and refine your skills in real-world scenarios, making a tangible impact on customers.

We are looking for a Product Manager II with technical and analytical skills, having a passion for driving great technology designs in partnership with local and remote teams. This person will possess a mindset of continuous improvement, a can-do attitude, and lots of positive energy. You will be working with teams across multiple organizations in Azure, giving you opportunities for influence, growth, all while enjoying our multi-cultural environment. Responsibilities

  • You will understand customer's needs and market trends; identify gaps and opportunities.
  • You will drive and track success criteria of a feature group. You'll also partner with others to identify short-term investment opportunities and collaborate with partners to garner support for that feature group.
  • You will demonstrate ability to define a feature set and will facilitate usability reviews with customers. You'll start to own a portion of the roadmap for a feature group, and will organize scenario walkthroughs to identify problems.
  • You will partner with Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You'll also promote the group of features you worked on and co-present at large events.
  • You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses to incrementally improve product development in specific areas.
  • You'll also manage customer communities and build trust with targeted customers.
  • You will drive partner team engagements on user experiences and quality for the end to end user scenarios.
  • You will closely engage with the Customer Support team to review Customer Success Support tickets, and drive product improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent AND 2+ years experience in product or program management.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ years of experience shipping enterprise-quality products and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management OR software development.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience building with or working on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or any cloud provider.
  • Customer empathy and ability to identify customer needs.
  • Technical and technological understanding.
  • Communication and presentation skills

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
