About Us:

Monarch is a powerful, all-in-one personal finance platform designed to help make the complexity of finances feel simple again. Since launching in 2021, we’ve become the top-recommended personal finance app by users and experts. Our goal? To take the stress out of finances so our members can focus on what truly matters.

We are a team of do-ers led by experienced entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping our members reach their financial goals. We are hyper focused on building a product people love and continuing to evolve based on user feedback.

As a fully remote company (even before COVID!), we welcome applicants from almost anywhere. Our team collaborates synchronously mostly from 9 AM – 2 PM PT and embraces asynchronous work to stay connected across time zones.

Join us on our mission to transform lives by simplifying money, together.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Product Manager (Senior to Principal level) to own individual product lines from ideation to launch. This is a high-impact individual contributor role. You’ll be expected to lead cross-functional work, identify the biggest opportunities alongside company and team leadership, and execute on a high velocity development cadence.

This role will benefit greatly from a builder with experience operating in financial services or other highly regulated industries. You will need to possess or be able to rapidly develop technical/operational understanding of the problem areas, being as comfortable in the trenches of product specs as you are ideating and developing strategy cross-functionally. The RevX team at Monarch is very early and moving quickly. You will have an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the cadence and structure of our execution as we grow.

The Team:

The Revenue Expansion product team (RevX) is a nascent team at Monarch. Our mandate is simple: deliver novel value to our members by solving problems Monarch doesn’t yet address today in our core offering. Our team will work collaboratively across the entire business to identify, test, build, launch, and lead initial scaling efforts across these new expansion opportunities. This will include everything from product development to commercialization.

In addition to being standard bearers for Monarch’s culture, all members of this team will benefit from

  • Understanding how to protect and enrich user trust while operating with high velocity

  • Possessing high activation energy and agency

  • Being comfortable going from 0 → 1 (and 1 → 10)

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive product features through their entire development cycle: ideation through release, analyzing what’s working and what’s not with an eye for iteration and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and data science to hypothesize, test, build, and launch new solutions for members

  • Use data, intuition, and experimentation to identify highest impact areas of development, evolving your execution approach as you build

  • Define and report on success metrics, and help establish a culture of iterative learning

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: 4+ years in product management or related work, ideally with a focus on financial services, regulated industries, and/or workflow automation

    • Bonus: significant domain knowledge in personal finance and the products and services necessary to deliver good consumer outcomes

  • Technical fluency: strong track record of working in complex and technical problem areas developing elegant, simple solutions

  • Curious problem solver: you know how to form a hypothesis, test it, and learn quickly as you go.

  • Skilled communicator: storyteller both written and verbal—you can clearly explain decisions, tradeoffs, and results

  • Organized and self directed: you are comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and are able to manage multiple priorities autonomously in a fast-moving environment

Typical Process:

  • Recruiter Video Call

  • Hiring Manager Video Call

  • Take Home Assignment

  • Virtual “onsite” round consisting of 2-4 rounds

  • Reference Checks

  • Offer!

Benefits :
  • Work wherever you want! As a fully remote company with no central office, we want you to work wherever you are happiest and most productive. Whether that’s out of your home, a co-working space, or elsewhere.

  • Competitive cash and equity compensation in a hyper growth, early stage company 🚀.

  • Stipend to set-up your ideal working environment.

  • Competitive Benefit Plans for employees based on your location (e.g. in the US we offer: Medical, dental and vision benefits and the ability to contribute to a 401k plan).

  • Unlimited PTO.

  • 3 day weekend every month! We take off the “First Friday” every month to focus on rest, recuperation, or just having fun!

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
