About Us

Modus Create is a digital consulting partner that helps ambitious organizations design, build, and modernize digital products, platforms, and AI-powered experiences. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with client teams to move from idea to production quickly and sustainably, with a clear path to scale.

Our teams bring product leadership, experience design, architecture, engineering, quality, and delivery expertise together in integrated pods. We partner close to the business, create clarity in complex environments, and focus on measurable outcomes, not just deliverables.

At Modus, Product Leadership exists to turn intent into outcomes. We create clarity in complexity, make tradeoffs explicit, guide teams toward measurable adoption and business impact, and help clients make better decisions as delivery moves forward.

Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in a specialized product area and the ability to apply that expertise in a product consulting environment. This individual will independently manage routine and complex product work, lead defined projects and initiatives, and partner closely with Product Leadership to ensure successful delivery across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong product professional with experience owning defined products, platforms, or product areas in fast-paced enterprise environments. They should be technically proficient enough to effectively collaborate with engineering teams, understand technical considerations, contribute to prioritization decisions, and translate business needs into actionable product outcomes. They should also have the leadership presence to coordinate stakeholders, guide delivery teams, and lead initiatives from planning through execution.

  • Partner closely with Product Leadership to support strategic product initiatives
  • Independently manage routine and complex product activities within a defined product area
  • Translate business requirements into actionable product roadmaps, priorities, and backlog items
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, business, and stakeholder teams
  • Provide clear direction, coordination, and guidance to delivery teams
  • Drive day-to-day decision-making, identify blockers, and escalate issues when needed
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication for assigned initiatives
  • Balance technical considerations with business priorities and customer outcomes

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital consulting, with a proven track record of defining, leading, and delivering digital products, digital strategies, or transformation initiatives
  • Proven experience managing enterprise products, platforms, or defined product areas
  • Strong product management and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to independently handle routine tasks along with more complex product initiatives
  • Technical aptitude and experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Experience leading projects or cross-functional product initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate teams and drive accountability in matrixed organizations
Bonus Points
  • Consulting experience or experience working directly with external clients.
  • Experience supporting digital product builds, modernization efforts, enterprise platforms, or custom software delivery.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar product and delivery collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience defining adoption metrics, leading indicators, release readiness criteria, or post-release feedback loops.
  • Experience with process mapping, stakeholder mapping, decision logs, risk narratives, executive readouts, or delivery operating models.
  • Experience helping a team move from broad or unclear requirements into a structured backlog tied to outcomes, features, epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience improving delivery flow in environments with complex governance, handoffs, dependencies, or competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve discovery, analysis, requirements clarity, documentation, delivery flow, or decision support.
You’ll Love This Role If:
  • You like being the connective tissue across product, project, business analysis, delivery, and client leadership.
  • You are comfortable independently managing your work while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate.
  • You are comfortable working through ambiguity and turning broad requirements into clear, actionable work.
  • You are friendly and collaborative, but not passive.
  • You are proactive without creating unnecessary noise.
  • You can read the room, spot unspoken constraints, and adapt your communication style to move work forward.
  • You enjoy creating structure, decision flow, and delivery rhythm in environments that need both discipline and tact.
  • You believe strong requirements, clear tradeoffs, and steady delivery cadence are what allow teams to move faster with confidence.
  • You care about adoption, usage, and business impact, not just shipped scope.

By joining our team, you’ll be part of a winning squad that plays to each other’s strengths and celebrates every success together.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
