Job Description:

We are looking for a Product Manager specializing in regulatory solutions — including ESG reporting, regulatory filing disclosures, and financial filing packages such as Solvency II — who can fully understand and analyze both internal and external customer needs and then articulate those needs to the development team via user stories. A member of the Product Management team, you’ll work closely with an agile team of Software and Quality Engineers, serving as the interface between our customers and the development team throughout the planning and software development process.

You will collaborate closely with internal customers (Product Management, Engineering, Support, Customer Success) and external customers — including regulated financial institutions and compliance teams — to understand regulatory business processes and identify how our solutions can address their filing and disclosure needs. Working closely with Product Managers across the EPM Suite on requirements definition, documenting proposed regulatory software solutions, and maintaining a prioritized backlog of issues.

The ideal candidate should be highly collaborative with the ability to lead cross-functionally and inspire our teams while remaining focused on results and value creation. You must possess a unique blend of regulatory domain expertise and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This role provides a great opportunity to work across the insightsoftware EPM Suite — bridging data collection and storage through to regulatory disclosure and filing — partnering with our technical teams to define, build, and deliver solutions for regulated financial institutions and compliance-focused customers.

What will you do?

  • Integrate in the agile development team to drive successful product delivery and serve as the voice of the customer
  • Run customer focus groups to collect feedback and update the roadmap with the feedback
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to formulate our product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Define and drive the product roadmap for regulatory solutions including ESG reporting, regulatory filing disclosures, and financial filing packages such as Solvency II, ensuring alignment with evolving compliance mandates and customer filing obligations
  • Work cross-product across the EPM Suite to ensure tight integration from data collection and storage through to regulatory disclosure and filing, collaborating with adjacent Product Owners across consolidation, planning, and reporting
  • Apply XBRL expertise to guide filing requirements, taxonomy mapping, and validation rules, ensuring our solutions meet current and emerging regulatory filing standards
  • Work closely with Product Managers creating, reviewing, refining epics, features, stories and acceptance criteria to create and maintain a product backlog of maximum value that is aligned with product strategy
  • Organize and refine feature requests, prioritize enhancements with Product Managers, and assist in managing the product roadmap.
  • Own the product backlog for multiple products, balancing conflicting priorities to determine prioritization
  • Own the release planning and sprint planning processes, including setting release and sprint goals, and successfully delivering on those goals
  • Provide an active role in mitigating risks and issues impacting successful team completion of release and sprint goals
  • Ensuring acceptance criteria are met with current release and conducting sprint reviews from a business/customer perspective.
  • Producing documentation with Product Managers and Marketing to support development, launch, support, services, and sales and marketing initiatives
  • Performing detailed product demonstrations for external and internal audiences to communicate the benefits of the solution
  • Serving as a subject matter expert to assist with sales and support as needed

How will you do it?

  • Drive & Grit – Operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus and determination to achieve high-quality results
  • Strategic Thinker – determine opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends with the ability to see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way
  • Product Focus – Translate market and customer feedback into requirements, driving product delivery through an agile release process
  • Customer Focused – passionate about creating value for our customers
  • Cross-functional leadership – Lead and drive execution across Development, Product Management, Support, and Customer Success

Are you a fit?

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years+ Proven success in product ownership or management roles
  • 5 years+ Experience with agile software development practices (e.g., scrum, Kanban, Lean Agile) and tools
  • 5 years+ years ability to negotiate a backlog with engineers and senior leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and make critical decisions
  • Knowledge of XBRL and its application in regulatory financial filings (e.g., ESEF, iXBRL, SEC/EDGAR), including taxonomy mapping, tagging, and validation
  • Domain experience in financial regulatory compliance frameworks such as Solvency II, CSRD/ESG reporting, IFRS, or equivalent regulatory disclosure and filing requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications: Agile, Pragmatic Marketing, Project Management, Scrum Product Owner
  • Experience in partnering with UX teams to design great solutions
  • Experience with EPM (Consolidation, Planning, & Reporting) solutions, with a strong understanding of how regulatory disclosure and filing fits within the broader EPM landscape

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
