ABOUT FREED:
Doctors are overworked, burnt out, and are quitting in masses.
At Freed, we combine clinician love with the latest AI tech and intense execution to create products that make clinicians happier.
Our first product is an AI scribe that automates medical documentation.
Since May of 2023, we have:
Acquired 20,000 paying and loving clinicians
Generated 70,000 patient notes daily and over 2 million monthly
Made thousands of clinicians happier
With the backing of Sequoia Capital and other world-class VC's, we are rapidly expanding our product offering. Patient-facing assistants, patient insights, EHR integrations, and other products are being built and used by thousands of clinicians every day.
We are looking for entrepreneurs. Fast, ambitious, and smart individuals who want to take care of the people who care for our health. Expect intense, clinician-focused, and interesting co-workers who want to win.
With an office in San Francisco, we embrace a hybrid schedule that brings out the best in teamwork and innovation. Our teams come together in person three days a week to collaborate, connect, and have a little fun along the way.
About the Role:
We're looking for a product manager to own and drive core product areas at Freed. You'll operate with high autonomy in a small, fast-moving team: defining what to build, why, and in what order. The right person simplifies complex problems, communicates with clarity, and ships with urgency. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and clinical operations to build products that clinicians depend on every day.
This role requires someone who is already comfortable using AI as a core part of how they work, not just what they build.
How You'll Have Impact:
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for key features, from discovery through launch and iteration
Make clear, well-reasoned prioritization decisions and communicate the trade-offs simply
Drive alignment across engineering, design, and GTM by reducing confusion, not adding to it
Translate clinician needs into focused, practical product solutions with a clear "why"
Use AI tools to accelerate your own workflows: research, analysis, documentation, prototyping
What You'll Bring:
6+ years of PM experience with a track record of shipping high-impact products in fast-paced environments
Exceptional communication: you write clearly, speak concisely, and know that brevity is a skill
Strong product judgment with the ability to simplify complex problems into actionable plans
A bias toward intellectual honesty over advocacy. You listen, pressure-test your own ideas, and change your mind when the evidence warrants it
Comfort with ambiguity and making hard trade-offs without perfect information
Demonstrated use of AI tools in your day-to-day work (not just familiarity, actual practice)
Experience running customer discovery and translating qualitative and quantitative insights into product direction
Nice to Haves:
Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, or other regulated/high-stakes product environments
Experience at high-growth startups where you wore multiple hats
Experience working directly with clinicians or other expert end-users
What We'll Bring:
Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth company
Opportunity to make an immediate impact
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
Unlimited paid time off
Company-sponsored annual retreats
