What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the strategies teams use to drive product innovation. This research helps us understand how new ideas are evaluated, prioritized, and brought to market. Your feedback will provide critical context on the challenges of early-stage product development.

How It Works

You will participate in a 20-minute, AI-moderated voice interview from your desktop or mobile device. The AI will guide you through a series of questions about your recent product innovation cycles. You will be asked to walk through a recent launch, detailing how you managed stakeholder alignment and risk. The conversation is fully automated, allowing you to complete it at a time that works best for your schedule.

Who This Is For

We welcome Product Managers, Product Strategists, and Innovation Leads who work on bringing new products to life. Candidates should have hands-on experience guiding a product from conception through its initial launch phase. Professionals working in agile software development or consumer hardware are highly encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Complete a 20-minute AI-moderated interview on your device

  • Discuss your approach to evaluating new product ideas

  • Walk us through a recent product launch or major feature release

  • Share insights on overcoming early-stage development blockers

Who Should Apply
  • Current role as a Product Manager, Strategist, or Innovation Lead

  • Hands-on experience with end-to-product development cycles

  • Comfortable speaking with an AI moderator in a remote setting

Compensation

$50 one-time

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
