⛰️ About Northslope
The generational companies of the next century will run on mission-specific AI software that compounds their competitive advantage, not commoditized SaaS. We purpose-build production AI applications that enable our customers to operate at the speed, scale, and margins of an enterprise software company, in any industry.
We're building something fundamentally different: software that's as adaptable as the businesses it serves, created by engineers who understand both code and customer
🛠️ The Role
Northslope is looking for our first marketing hire to help us tell the story of our software and products.
As our First Product Marketer, you’ll define how Northslope presents our software and products to the world. You’ll work directly with our product and customer teams to articulate our model, build the narrative around our product platform, and translate complex architecture into clear, compelling messaging for customers.
You’ll own positioning, packaging, visual storytelling, sales enablement, website direction, and agency management. You’ll interact with customers, Forward Deployed Engineers, our product team, and leadership. You’ll support the building of our marketing function from scratch. If you’re excited about shaping a company’s business model narrative in real time, this role is for you.
What you’ll do
Define and refine Northslope’s software positioning
Articulate our product platform and application library
Develop clear packaging and messaging across industries and customer scale
Build core visual frameworks that explain our architecture simply and credibly
Shape our strategic narrative
Work with customers to create case studies on the impact of our work
🎯 What We're Looking For
5+ years in product marketing or strategic B2B marketing
Experience positioning enterprise software products to large, complex customers, including experimentation to hit the right outcomes
Comfortable operating as an individual contributor with high autonomy
Structured thinker who can turn complexity into commercial & product clarity
A builder who is willing to figure things out, using an entrepreneurial mindset, helping executives define the next phase of Northslope
💛 What We Offer
Competitive base salary + equity in the form of stock options
Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance
Flexible hybrid work environment
The opportunity to build sourcing strategies and processes from the ground up as we scale
Clear path to grow into a recruiting role or specialize further in sourcing depending on your interests
A small, tight-knit team where your pipeline directly impacts our ability to execute on our mission
Occasional travel (less than 10% of your time) for company offsites where you'll connect with teams across our New York and London hubs
🌟 Why This Role Matters
Northslope is transitioning from a services-led model to a software business built on:
Repeatable applications (e.g., dynamic pricing, inventory management)
A platform (Kepler) composed of reusable services that accelerate deployment
We need an operator who can define, articulate, and operationalize this shift, both externally to customers and internally across product, GTM, and leadership.
Northslope is committed to building a strong, diverse team. We believe teams with a diversity of lived experience, background, and perspectives create better outcomes for our customers and are just more enjoyable to be part of. We are committed to creating and living a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our work. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, disability, pregnancy, age, military status, marital status, genetic characteristics or information, gender, gender identity, gender variance, or sexual orientation.
