Job Overview
As the Director of Product Marketing, you will work at the intersection of product, marketing and sales to orchestrate high-impact GTM launches and sales strategies to support our growing business.
You will focus on shaping our messaging and positioning, supporting revenue generating sales programs and marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for a data-driven self-starter with exceptional messaging and positioning skills, who can work on both creative marketing initiatives and data-driven strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ICP and value proposition for our Iconik and Wildmoka products; working with the marketing and sales team to effectively communicate to the market our positioning.
- Shape our messaging and narrative: Develop and own compelling product positioning and value prop messaging that differentiates Backlight’s Iconik, Wildmoka, Cinesync, Ftrack, and Zype products in the market
- Support sales programs: Drive deeper engagement of our product through educational content—blog posts, product tips, best practice guides, live streams, and more
- Launch and drive adoption of features that help teams use Backlight solutions at scale
- Work in lock-step with the marketing team to generate pipeline for Backlight products via content campaigns, field events, webinars.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, with a focus on B2B SaaS.
- Excellent communicator, skilled at working across global teams and navigating cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new products and industries—unafraid to dive into the technical details

- Results-driven, with the ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
