About the Role:

We're looking for a  Product Marketing Manager who can translate government technology into clear, compelling outcome-driven stories that connect with municipal decision-makers. This role blends traditional product marketing with demand generation, so you'll be responsible for both positioning our solutions in the market and driving qualified leads into the sales pipeline.

You'll work closely with an Associate Product Marketing Manager along with the sales, product, and customer success teams to understand what makes local government buyers tick and turn those insights into messaging, content, and campaigns that build pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:Product Marketing (50%)
  • Develop positioning and messaging for GovPilot's solutions that speak directly to local government pain points
  • Create sales enablement materials, including battlecards, one-pagers, success stories, and presentation decks
  • Build competitive intelligence frameworks and displacement strategies against key competitors
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new features and product launches
  • Partner with sales to understand objections and refine talk tracks
  • Develop buyer personas and journey maps specific to department heads, elected officials, and IT directors
Demand Generation (50%)
  • Plan and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads for the sales team
  • Own content strategy for inbound marketing including blog posts, success stories, webinars, and videos
  • Manage GovPilot's messaging at industry conferences and events
  • Collaborate with sales development to optimize lead qualification and handoff
  • Track and report on marketing-sourced pipeline and campaign performance
  • Develop nurture sequences that move prospects through the consideration funnel
Team Leadership
  • Guide and develop the Associate Product Marketing Manager
  • Delegate campaign execution and content production while maintaining quality standards
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to support professional growth
  • Coordinate workload and priorities across product marketing initiatives


Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 3 years in B2B SaaS
  • Proven track record of creating positioning and messaging that drives pipeline
  • Experience with demand generation campaigns and marketing automation platforms
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior marketing team members
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where you'll wear multiple hats
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing to local government buyers
  • Familiarity with permitting and licensing or environmental health software
  • Understanding of municipal procurement processes and budget cycles
  • Experience with HubSpot, or similar CRM/marketing automation tools
  • Track record of successful competitive displacement campaigns

  • Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 plus bonus
  • Status: Full Time/Exempt
