As a Product Marketing Manager on Datadog's Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) team, you'll own the go-to-market strategy for Journey Monitoring—a foundational capability that brings user journeys (the key paths customers take through an application) into the Datadog platform, enabling teams to monitor critical digital experiences end to end. You'll define and communicate the value of Journey Monitoring while helping shape messaging and positioning across the broader DEM portfolio, including Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, Product Analytics, and Session Replay. Working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement, you'll develop compelling narratives, launch strategies, and customer-facing programs that drive product adoption and market success.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Product Management to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, product launches, roadmap communications, and customer education for Journey Monitoring and related DEM capabilities.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and value propositions across the Digital Experience Monitoring portfolio, creating a cohesive product narrative.
  • Create sales enablement content, competitive intelligence, and customer-facing materials that help internal teams effectively communicate product value.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to develop campaigns, thought leadership, and product content supporting both Journey Monitoring and the broader DEM suite.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Demand Generation, Content, Analyst Relations, Customer Marketing, and Enablement to deliver integrated go-to-market programs.
  • Leverage customer insights, market trends, and competitive research to inform messaging, product positioning, and launch strategies.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, or a related go-to-market role supporting technical software products.
  • Able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for developer, engineering, operations, and business audiences.
  • Familiar with Digital Experience Monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, observability, DevOps, or related software markets.
  • Experienced partnering cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement to drive successful go-to-market initiatives.
  • Strong writer and storyteller with experience developing positioning, launch materials, sales enablement content, and customer-facing narratives.
  • Experienced using customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and AI-enabled tools to strengthen messaging, accelerate content development, and inform go-to-market strategy.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth:

  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Employee-focused best in class onboarding
  • Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
