Why RocketReach

More than 26 million users around the world use RocketReach including some of the largest companies in the world like Apple, Google, Amazon, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, trust RocketReach to power their sales, recruitment, and marketing teams.

RocketReach is rare and unique: a startup in high-growth mode, already highly profitable, with a small team where you can make a gigantic impact. Founded in 2015 and bootstrapped from day one, we've grown organically to become one of the largest business info-services platforms and the de-facto productivity solution for sales and recruitment teams at companies of all sizes, worldwide.

The Role

RocketReach is in a period of rapid growth and we're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our expanding Marketing team. If you’re a builder, experimenter, and entrepreneur, this role is for you! You will report directly to our SVP of Marketing to define strategy and build the function from scratch.

We're looking for someone who moves fast, experiments relentlessly, and thrives in ambiguity. You'll help us find product-market fit in new categories, launch products in spaces we're just beginning to define, and leverage the latest AI tools to do it at speed and scale.

The salary range for this role is $180-220k.

Who You Are

  • You're customer-obsessed, you think in lifecycles, not moments, staying invested from first touch to power user and translating messy customer truth into crisp narratives that land
  • You use AI tools as a force multiplier across content, research, positioning, and experimentation
  • You're energized by new categories and undefined territory; you're scrappy and thoughtful, finding patterns and creating new playbooks at the same time
  • You lead with storytelling that moves people, You help customers feel the problem before you sell the answer, building narratives that pull them from friction to possibility
  • You care about working with talented, low-ego, genuinely good people; you iterate quickly, learn from data, and aren't precious about killing what's not working

What You'll Do

Market Insights & Persona Development

  • Conduct market research to understand target customers, their needs, pain points, and buying behavior
  • Analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and industry dynamics to identify whitespace and inform positioning
  • Build and continuously evolve customer personas that guide product development and go-to-market strategy

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging that cuts through — especially for new product categories where the narrative doesn't yet exist
  • Craft messaging that speaks directly to customer pain points and communicates differentiated value, not just features

Go-to-Market Strategy & New Category Launches

  • Define what GTM looks like for entirely new product areas — research the market, shape the narrative, and build the launch infrastructure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute launch strategies that drive adoption and revenue
  • Move quickly: run small experiments, learn fast, and scale what works

AI-Powered Content & Campaign Execution

  • Leverage AI tools (LLMs, generative platforms, workflow automation) to create high-quality content faster, such as blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, product videos, demo scripts, and sales decks
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI tools that can accelerate experimentation and reduce time-to-market
  • Set the bar for content quality and product voice, even when speed is the priority

Sales Enablement

  • Arm the sales team with tools they'll actually use: battle cards, product guides, objection handling, and competitive positioning
  • Run product training that makes the sales team feel like experts, not just informed

Customer Success Collaboration

  • Stay close to customers,  use their feedback to sharpen messaging, surface product gaps, and improve retention materials

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in product marketing, product management, or strategic consulting with a track record of launching products and driving adoption
  • Direct experience launching products in new or emerging categories, including defining positioning from scratch
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in a marketing or content workflow
  • SaaS industry experience and a strong grasp of PLG, B2B, and subscription dynamics
  • Excellent communicator who can write crisp positioning docs, present to leadership, and inspire cross-functional teams
  • A bias for experimentation: you run tests, track outcomes, and iterate without waiting for permission
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and build process where little exists
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
