About Us:
At Fullbay, our mission is simple — to create safer roads for our families and yours. As leaders in the heavy-duty repair industry, we power shops with technology that helps them run smarter and more efficiently. As an AI-First company, we invite artificial intelligence to eliminate friction, spark innovation, and drive efficiencies in every conversation— for our teams and our customers. Fullbay is the number one cloud-based shop management software for commercial repair shops and is growing fast. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and help shape the next phase of growth for the company.

Position Overview:
The future of commercial repair is at Fullbay!

As a Product Owner – AI Services at Fullbay, you own and contribute to the success of the intelligence capabilities that enable intelligent features across the Fullbay platform. You lead the definition, delivery, and ongoing improvement of reusable services, guardrails, and patterns that are leveraged by product and technology teams to build AI-enhanced experiences.

In this role, you operate as a primary point of contact, accountable for backlog clarity, delivery quality, and the continued evolution of AI-related capabilities. Your decisions directly influence customer-facing experiences by shaping how AI-powered functionality feels—consistent, reliable, and thoughtfully integrated across domains. You balance near-term enablement with practical long-range thinking, ensuring teams are unblocked today while building foundations that support future innovation.

You lead a dedicated team of engineers and QA, working closely with other Product Owners, Product Managers, designers, and engineering leadership. You are expected to demonstrate strong ownership and clear decision-making within a collaborative environment—often partnering early with other teams to define and sequence AI capabilities before downstream work begins. Success in this role requires sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex AI-related considerations into clear, actionable plans.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Domain Ownership & Roadmap Management: Define and evolve AI service capabilities, including configuration options, governance guardrails, and interaction patterns that support intelligent experiences across domains. Maintain a clear and actionable roadmap for AI Services, ensuring work aligns with broader product strategy and cross-team needs. Ensure AI-related services are reliable, extensible, and designed to support both current and future product initiatives.
  • Direction & Prioritization: Define and prioritize AI Services initiatives that align with company strategy while addressing the most critical enablement needs across teams. Assess tradeoffs and make informed prioritization decisions that balance near-term delivery with longer-term scalability and maintainability. Increase the velocity and quality of intelligent feature delivery by ensuring clear decisions without sacrificing long-term integrity.
  • Collaboration Mindset: Treat internal product teams as key customers, measuring success by our combined ability to build intelligent features faster and with greater confidence. Proactively identify risks, gaps, or constraints in AI capabilities and address them before they become blockers. Serve as a central intake point for AI-related initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate feasibility and impact.
  • Product Discovery & Definition: Translate cross-team AI needs into well-scoped epics and user stories with clear intent, success criteria, and acceptance standards. Collaborate with engineers to explore solution options, validate assumptions, and reduce product and technical risk. Balance collaborative problem-solving with decisive ownership when clarity and speed are required.
  • Delivery Leadership & Workflow Management: Lead day-to-day delivery for the AI Services team using Kanban practices, maintaining focus and flow. Partner closely with engineers and QA to sequence work, resolve ambiguity, and adapt plans as new information emerges. Leverage modern tooling and AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency, clarity, and throughput.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure AI Services direction supports broader cross-domain strategy. Work with other Product Owners to align sequencing, manage dependencies, and maintain consistency in intelligent experiences. Partner with designers to ensure patterns and interactions feel intuitive and cohesive. Maintain strong communication with engineering leadership and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • AI Governance & Standards Contribution: Contribute to the development and refinement of AI usage standards, guardrails, and best practices in collaboration with Fullbay’s broader AI team. Help ensure intelligent capabilities are implemented responsibly, consistently, and in alignment with company policies.
  • Adheres to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within a SaaS or technology-driven organization.
  • Experience owning a product backlog and collaborating closely with engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products, machine learning systems, or platform services strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on platform, infrastructure, or services teams is a plus.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Backlog Ownership: Proven ability to manage and refine a backlog for a technical team, ensuring clarity and prioritization.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand AI capabilities at a practical level, including feasibility considerations, without requiring deep implementation expertise.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work with multiple Product Owners and stakeholders to enable shared success.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into understandable, actionable plans.
  • Lean & Agile Delivery: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; experience working in a Kanban-driven environment preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate tradeoffs between cost, complexity, velocity, and user experience.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
