Field Engineer - Production Print

The role is required to service Canon Production Print customers in the Limerick, Cork and Galway areas.

The salary range for this role is from €45,498 to €48,026 plus in-role progression zones. Benefits are listed below in the advert.

As a Production Print Field Service Engineer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that services, maintains, and optimizes Canon’s cutting-edge mono and colour production print devices for our customers in Munster, Connaught and on occasion in the Leinster region. Responsibilities
  • Maintain, Repair & Optimize Production Print Devices:
    • Perform maintenance and repairs on Inkjet/Toner production printers, ensuring all devices run smoothly.
    • Stay up to date on software updates and technical bulletins, keeping devices at peak performance.
    • Calibrate and profile printers for colour accuracy, optimizing output quality.
  • Work on Major Installations and Projects:

    • Contribute to large installations, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure success.
    • Ensure all work is executed to high standards, meeting customer expectations.
  • Proactive Customer Engagement:

    • Demonstrate exceptional customer service, building strong relationships and offering proactive support.
    • Provide training to customers on product usage, maintenance, and advanced applications.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and resolve issues independently.
    • Ensure all activities are accurately documented in line with Canon guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
  • Experience: You have sector experience, servicing Toner, Inkjet or Wide Format production printers, or other related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in printer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience with colour management software such as Adobe Colour or PrismaSync Tools is a plus.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent communication and analytical skills, proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting, fault-finding, and device management.

The salary range for this role is from €45,498 to €48,026 plus in-role progression zones.
