Move Industries is building the People’s Chain, a Move-based Layer 1 blockchain, and a diverse ecosystem that empowers talented builders to create the future of finance, infrastructure, and real-world value on chain. As a core contributor to the Movement Network, we combine deep protocol engineering with open community governance, returning blockchain to its roots by giving financial power, access and opportunity back to the people.
Our mission is to fuel the next generation of secure, expressive, and high-performance blockchain applications through the Move programming language and scalable distributed systems. You will help unlock massive throughput, low latency, and resilience across consensus, data availability, and privacy - the invisible rails that make an open and decentralized future possible.
We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our core engineering team.
This is a hybrid software + infrastructure role. You will write production software, build platforms and automation, and own the reliability of the systems you ship. You will work directly with protocol and runtime engineers and external partners to ensure the Movement Network is operable, observable, upgradeable, and resilient.
This is not a ticket-driven ops role. This is a systems engineering role with production ownership.
Design, build and own production infrastructure, tooling, and automation
Use AI adequately to improve the technical simplicity and economic efficiency of network node infrastructure
Own monitoring, alerting, and observability across the stack
Partner with protocol, runtime, and storage engineers to improve operability, debuggability, and safety
Drive reliability-by-design: SLOs, capacity planning, failure testing, and safe rollouts
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term fixes
Treat production as a first-class prod
Strong software engineering background (not just ops)
Experience owning production distributed systems or critical infrastructure
Comfort writing real code (Rust, Python, etc.) to solve infrastructure problems
Strong understanding of:
Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure
Containers, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD systems
Observability, performance analysis, and capacity planning
Systems mindset: you design for failure, not for the happy path
Bias toward automation and eliminating manual and error prone work
Experience running blockchains, databases, or large-scale distributed systems in production
Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code
Familiarity with incident management, on-call rotations, and postmortem culture
Experience building internal developer platforms or reliability tooling
Background in Production Engineering or Infra SWE roles
True ownership of production systems from design to operations
Work directly with protocol and runtime engineers and external partner engineers
Solve hard problems at the intersection of distributed systems, infra, and reliability
Competitive compensation with meaningful upside
Build infrastructure that powers the decentralized financial system that real applications and users depend on
Make it live. Then make it better.
Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS)
Extreme ownership
No silos between “dev” and “ops”
