Job Description

The Program Manager Tech 2 on the Marketing Enablement team will be responsible for leading the delivery and execution of cross-functional initiatives and organizational priorities across both Nordstrom and Rack, as well as planning and prioritizing requirements, driving alignment between multiple teams, identifying and tracking risks, and clearly communicating impacts, decisions, and updates to stakeholders. 

 

This position is part of the Nordstrom Enterprise Media team which is responsible for marketing deployed through Email, App Push, Direct Mail, In-App, Affiliate, SEO, and Paid Search channels. 

 

This role forms the connective tissue between technical and strategic teams, collaborating with Email Development, Data Analysts, Data Engineering, CRM, Brand Marketing, Loyalty Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, and Product to deliver against our key priority of Customer-led marketing.

A day in the life... 

  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of marketing offer programs, from inception to launch and ongoing optimization. 

  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for new marketing offers. 

  • Own the definition of technical requirements and refine tickets for intake from business partners.  

  • Ensure technical solutions meet business needs and objectives, and identify when net new work is needed if they do not 

  • Own intake and management of strategy requests (Email, App Push, In-App, Direct Mail) and stewarding required tasks and efforts to appropriate teams across Unpaid marketing channels. 

  • Work cross-functionally, up- and down-pyramid to remove blockers for teams to deliver against deadlines. 

  • Articulate solution tradeoffs where needed to inform solution design 

  • Clearly communicate customer and business impact of technical decisions to strategic stakeholders 

  • Proactively identify and mitigate business risks; document issues via incident reports 

  • Own the JIRA templates and workflows required to enable ticket creation and management for initiatives; collaborate with stakeholders to optimize ongoing delivery 

  • Provide platform and process expertise to inform high complexity solutioning discussions within tech stack (e.g. TreasureData CDP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, LiveRamp, Innervate, etc.) 

  • Drive SLA discussions with partners to set expectations and manage team workload capacity 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Email Development, Data Analysts, Data Engineering, CRM, Brand Marketing, Loyalty Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Product) to support business priorities and maximize performance of marketing campaigns 

  • Prioritize projects and programs based on strategic importance, resource availability, and business impact in partnership with Marketing leadership 

  • Scale impact of solutions by favoring automation over manual work; find workable short-term solutions while ensuring long-term enablers are prioritized appropriately 
     

You own this if you have... 

  • 3+ years of experience across digital marketing, analytics, technology 

  • 3+ years in Program Management with demonstrated success in delivery of successful initiatives and programs 

  • Ability to adhere to strict and aggressive deadlines, managing multiple priorities at once 

  • Ability to lead a team informally 

  • Expertise in Martech solutions (Salesforce, Innervate, CDP, LiveRamp) 

  • Expertise in backlog management using program management tools (Jira, Confluence) 

  • Ability to offer creative technical solutions to address business challenges

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $121,500-$188,500 annuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
