ERG is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Program Manager at federal facility sites in West Bethesda, MD and Bangor, WA. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited college/university and have over ten years of demonstrated experience in planning and managing large, multi-year facilities programs.


The program to be managed is facilities support for a U.S. Navy organization headquartered in the Washington DC metro area with smaller detachments around the country (including one in Bangor, WA). The program scope includes facilities support functions such as: environmental, health, and safety compliance; facilities planning; design & construction project management; review of design drawings and specifications; operations and maintenance support, including work order management, weight handling equipment support, and equipment repair and maintenance; facilities data management support; accounting & budget data monitoring and tracking; and human resources support. The current program size is 5 full-time on-site staff plus coordination of part-time subcontractors, with the potential to increase to 25 staff (plus subcontractors). 

Job Description:

  • Lead the overall planning and execution of large, multi-year facilities programs
  • Formulate, guide, and direct the technical approach for various projects
  • Define necessary resources in collaboration with federal agency personnel
  • Establish and manage technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in planning and managing large, multi-year facilities programs
  • Proven experience in formulating, guiding, and directing technical approaches
  • Strong ability to define necessary resources and establish technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
