We are seeking a Senior Manager of Programmatic to own strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts, driving strong business outcomes through hands-on leadership, advanced optimization, and high-quality client management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, operates with a high degree of autonomy, and is ready to take full ownership of programmatic performance end-to-end.

In this role, you will serve as the primary programmatic lead, responsible for developing and executing advanced strategies across medium to large client accounts. You will guide cross-functional collaboration, lead client relationships with confidence, and ensure best-in-class execution across all programmatic initiatives. This position balances strategic thinking with deep hands-on platform expertise, with full ownership of performance, optimization, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead programmatic strategy, execution, and optimization across a portfolio of medium to large client accounts, ensuring strong performance against business goals.

  • Own client-facing communication for key accounts, including strategic recommendations, performance storytelling, testing roadmaps, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Translate high-level growth objectives into actionable programmatic strategies across DSPs (The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon, Yahoo, StackAdapt, AI Digital, etc.).

  • Drive advanced media buying decisions, including campaign structure, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, measurement frameworks, and budget allocation.

  • Apply advanced targeting, dynamic creative strategies, and emerging platform capabilities to improve performance outcomes.

  • Leverage AI tools and automation to improve campaign efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.

  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics, creative, and account teams to align programmatic efforts with broader business objectives.

  • Mentor and support Managers, Senior Analysts, and Analysts through guidance on execution, troubleshooting, and strategic development.

  • Oversee campaign QA, troubleshoot platform issues, and ensure accurate implementation across channels.

  • Guide measurement strategy in partnership with analytics teams, including attribution modeling, testing frameworks, and performance interpretation.

  • Ensure adherence to brand safety, viewability, and ad verification standards.

  • Support onboarding of new clients through audits, strategic recommendations, and transition planning.

  • Contribute to team-level initiatives including playbooks, best practices, training, and process improvements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting standards, and overall operational efficiency.

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and programmatic best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 3-6+ years of experience in programmatic media, digital marketing, or performance marketing, ideally within an agency environment.

  • Strong hands-on experience managing and scaling campaigns across major DSPs (The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP).

  • Proven ability to independently manage larger or more complex client relationships with limited oversight.

  • Deep understanding of programmatic metrics, audience strategy, optimization techniques, and attribution modeling.

  • Experience with DMPs, CDPs, and ad verification tools preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret performance data, structure tests, and deliver actionable insights.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present strategies and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of how creative impacts programmatic performance, with the ability to guide testing and iteration.

  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Flexible work hours and remote work options.

  • Professional development and training opportunities.

  • Inclusive and supportive work environment that values creativity and innovation.

  • 401k with match

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
