Are you a dynamic project leader ready to take on impactful, enterprise-wide initiatives? Labcorp is seeking a high-performing Project Director to join our Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), where you'll lead strategic, high-visibility projects that shape the future of our organization. Note: This is a hybrid role requiring at least 1 day per week onsite at one of the following locations:  Overland Park, KS, Englewood CO, Minneapolis MN, Troy MI, Oak Creek WI, Burlington NC, Durham NC, Raritan NJ, Tampa FL, Birmingham AL, Dublin OH, Dallas TX, Houston TX, Phoenix AZ, Seattle WA, San Diego CA, Indianapolis IN or Madison WI.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support large initiatives that may involve multiple stakeholders across several business units, corporate teams, and external partners.
  • Assist the project sponsor and other stakeholders with the development of project definition and criteria. 
  • Define, build, and oversee the scope and schedule for assigned projects.
  • Work with various leaders and external partners to secure appropriate project resources.
  • Determine project communication needs; create vehicles of communication as appropriate (meetings, presentations, collaboration sites, etc.).
  • Coordinate and track project activities throughout the duration of the project; facilitate constructive project changes if applicable.
  • Foster teamwork among the project team and outside groups.
  • Effectively communicate project information and status to project stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationship with groups outside of the project team (end-users, support teams, consultants, vendors, etc.).
  • Monitor and address issues, risks, and project level deviations; escalate significant items as appropriate.
  • Ensure that project scope and objectives are met within the given time and budget constraints.
  • Work with project team, business owner(s) and sponsor to successfully achieve project results and objectives.
  • Operate comfortably in an environment with tight schedules and high expectations with autonomy, patience and flexibility.
  • Support the EPMO with tool and process improvements to ensure the team is contributing maximum value to the organization.
  • Ability to travel in support of projects as required (up to 20% with potential short-term periods above 20%).

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience including navigating cross-functional priorities, influencing stakeholders, and driving results in complex environments.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management processes and methodologies.
  • Proficient using project management tools / software (PPM, scheduling, etc.).
  • Proven leadership, collaboration, and motivational skills with the ability to foster teamwork and negotiate solutions across diverse groups.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to facilitate large group meetings and create impactful deliverables based on analytical needs.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and business/financial acumen to manage competing priorities and support strategic initiatives effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Knowledgeable/Trained in Change Management and Quality systems (e.g. Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Clinical laboratory / healthcare background and workflow
  • Smartsheet specific experience.
  • Experience directly managing a team/organization.
  • An advanced degree related to health care, business, or project management.

Application Window: June 19th, 2025

Pay Range: $92,800 - $120,000 annually

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
